Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesIt is a bit of an older property but clearly cleaned and maintained well…I am not a fan of wall to wall carpeting.
Well located as we were in town to help our daughter move in to her apartment in Hoboken. It is nice that there is a bus nearby that goes directly into the city. There isn’t a lot right nearby the hotel, but you can walk along the waterfront into Hoboken in about 10/15” and it is a lovely walk :)

United KingdomThe rooms are a little dated and in need of refurbishment.
The views of Manhattan are absolutely class. We were in an upgraded room with City View. I’d definitely recommend it. The staff were very pleasant and always helpful. The cleaning lady always ensured we had enough coffee for the coffee machine in the room. The 158 bus into Manhattan was a 2 minute walk from the hotel and goes very regularly. The Italian restaurant in the hotel is good as well although we tended to go to Mokafe Cafe for breakfast. The bed was confortable and our son had a decent sofa bed at no extra cost. Wi-Fi was good and free.

United StatesThat bed was way too soft and definitely had enough wear. The carpet was clean but I hate carpet.
I loved the room, the staff service, and the surrounding location. Even when the toilet clogged the response was swift and the cleaning crew restored the space. There's a heated gazebo and a ferry ride to NYC steps from the door. This is our "go to" NYC hotel in New Jersey.

Proximity to ferry into NYC, exceptionally friendly staff, several amenities to take advantage of (pool, fitness room, restaurant). As a family with small children I appreciated the spacious room.

RomaniaTbh, in our 2 days short stay I did not find anything to complain about.
The location, it is amazing, convenient, the ferry to go to NYC is literally in front of the hotel and runs every 20 mins and it takes 10 mins to be in Middtown. Loved it. The room is pretty big, it was clean, I asked for a room with a view and got it🥰. They have a pretty big parking, the hotel surroundings are very nice and I felt safe. I would stay here again.

The rooms are well appointed and everything is clean! Proximity to my daughter in Hoboken (easy and beautiful walk along the Hudson) and to the city was key to our stay. I am sure that we will be back!

PolandCheck in personnel that did not really take the time to make sure you were foreseen with all information.
The location was phenomenal! The bus line 158 and 156R are literally a 1 minute walk away. These lines will take you in 15-20 minutes to port Authority bus terminal (42nd street), which is a 5 minute walk from Times Square. You can buy loose tickets for these lines at any bus terminal with a ticket machine. I believe a 1 way ticket cost 3 dollars. You can also take the ferry to midtown New York (10 dollars per single ticket), which will take you 10 minutes. The rooms are so spacious and comfortable. Beds are great! Shower is okay (not the greatest). You have a huge closet for all your clothes, 2 big TV's, a couch, table, enough light, a mini fridge, complimentary water bottles (renewed every day by the lovely cleaning ladies). I did not use the gym nor the swimming pool, nor did we have their breakfast (we preferred to walk to Mokafe and get ourselves their amazing chocolate croissants and coffee)

New ZealandNothing.
Hospitality is about people and the Sheraton in Licoln Harbour have some amazing people working at the front desk and throughout the property. Our son broke his leg and was on crutches. They were super understanding and moved us into an ADA room without any fuss or extra charges. Our room was made up every day and always cleaned well. The location was awesome with a whole foods round the corner, a hudson ferry which takes you to midtown manhattan at your doorstep and a NJ transit bus that takes you into Manhattan's Port authority terminal within a couple minutes walk.

United StatesLobby is a little dated and a little cramped but that's ok. How much time do you spend in the lobby anyway? I would have loved a coffe station in the lobby in addition to the restaurant which was very crowded.
Location! Location! Location! It was across the cove to the Hudson Tea Building where my son lives, just a ferry ride away from NYC, close to Hoboken restaurants and food trucks on the pier and the views! Plus love the convenient parking.

HungaryThe view (window overlooking the Hudson river & Manhattan) was fantastic. The only challenge was getting to Manhattan (bus/ferry), as there is no subway connection. But for those who seek peaceful nights and a beautiful view, this hotel is definitely worth choosing.

United StatesThe fact that I'm staying at this wonderful resort and I have to pay for parking.... Paying for parking is a serious downfall if I'm staying at the property..... Work with the motorist who drives 90 minutes to 4 hours just to get here... If you are residents mean as much to you as just gratitude and give away free parking with people who are staying with you....

PolandThere was one thing that was unpleasant. Our credit card was charged upon arrival- costs + 250 USD for deposit. We were not aware of the deposit but the amount was relatively low so we had no issues with it. Unfortunately, upon leaving the hotel, our card was charged again. We hoped for a quick refund but it took us a few days and a few messages back and forth with Sheraton and Booking.com to have it sorted out. We stayed 11 nights, so the amount was not peanuts. I thing this should be handled better but it seems an American thing as we had this kind of stories each time when visiting the USA.
The hotel is well located. It's in New Jersey but with excellent communication with Midtown in Manhattan. The bus stop is almost in front of the hotel but there is also a ferry that is also very convenient. The rooms are spacious and well equipped, we have received a Manhattan view on the 9th floor at no additional costs. The beds are comfy, you can grab a coke from the vending machine on each floor. It's an old hotel but well maintained so we were enjoying our stay from the beginning to the end. We have booked well in advance for 11 nights, so got a way better price than the regular one.
