Fun + special place for a girls weekend

My only dislike was the bed. It was not comfortable at all (it was very hard).

I liked the pool, the on-site food and drinks, and the ambiance was beautiful.

I would of really liked a later check out. There wasn't enough time for me to do the things that I really wanted to do and see. Like Ruby's spa and iwNted to browse the gift shop. Didn't have enough time.

I didn't know you could get breakfast and I didn't know that it was included. I really did like the art work that was in the Hall ways on the walls.

The front desk staff I found a bit on the rude aggressive side , wasn’t the best greeting when checking in , they came across as aggressive and not so friendly

Been the flag ship property it had a vast property with everything , bars , restaurants, theater , games room , 74 acre property, with a nice pool , only down fall is the elk to it , it’s accessibility is part of the adventure to the pool , but you will find it very relaxing and worth the walk

Most of the rooms have shared bathrooms and showers. I didn't think it was a good value for the money.

There is a lot to do on the property. Restaurant and bars are nice.

Our room was a bit small, but it did have a half bath. No elevators.

Courteous, helpful and friendly staff, beautiful grounds, plenty to do, eat, drink and see at the Edgefield. Loved the soaking pool, the Black Rabbit Restaurant, and the Little Red Shed.

    Staying in a haunted house.

My favorite parts were the Edgefield distilled brandy- delish! The food at the black rabbit- also delish! and all the cute bars to be found onsite, as well, the soaking pool - amazing; all this helped alleviate some of the creepiness of the old building with all its energies & discordant spirits wandering around.

It was extremely hot in the rooms. No air conditioners in the room. They put box fans in the room and are quit stingy with them. There are a lot of bars and you can walk around the property with alcoholic drinks. I do enjoy being able to do that. I was traveling alone so I stayed in the woman’s dorm. While I was walking up to my room a belligerent woman was on the stair case yelling racial slurs and having a meltdown. She was clearly intoxicated. There was a police officer on the scene and 3 security staff from McMenamins trying to talk to her. I proceeded to the dormitory to put my luggage away. As I was getting settled in the intoxicated woman was brought into the room and put on her bed by the security staff and police officer. They left her in the dorm drunk and crazy. I told them I didn’t feel comfortable. One of the security staff members told me that they were just hoping she would pass out and not bother anyone anymore. The police officer agreed and so did the other security guards. I was very unsettled by the way this situation was handled. The woman didn’t pass out and she was telling other guests in the dorm that she wanted to fight. I left the room because I had a ticket to see Ziggy Marley. He was playing at their venue and I have to say it was a great show. Anyway, Oregon has rules and regulations about serving alcohol. The woman was clearly way over served somewhere on this property and put other patrons in danger. To be told the solution was to hope she just passes out is unacceptable. I will be making a complaint to OLCC (Oregon Liquor Control).

The location is great. It’s a beautiful setting and I love the soaking pool.

Cleaning carts should be updated with rubber wheels to suppress sound, early morning cleanings are extremely loud in the old facility.
