Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe restaurant was very overpriced, and only one person working the front desk was in a bad mood. Everything else was lovely
Loved the location and the decor of the hotel. The restaurant was underwhelming with lunch meat on the charcuterie board and not a lot of options. Loved the bed and the room was quiet. Most staff were very helpful and kind. Appreciated the shuttle to the cruise ship as well

United StatesI am disabled and was traveling with a friend. The accessible rooms had 1 bed. That's very impractical. Many disabled travel with companions and don't want to sleep together. The worst thing was the toilet. It was so low that even my non disabled friend had trouble getting off of it. I would not stay there again simply because of that horrible toilet. The restaurant is accessible via a staircase. Even if you go around and come in from outside, there are stairs inside to the tables They need an OSHA consult.
It's a beautiful building. The architecture is lovely. The room was very nice. Food and service for breakfast was excellent.

United StatesThe property is elegant and the decor luxurious. The lobbies were cozy and comfortable for waiting until time to board the cruise ship on the front end of our trip and waiting for time to go to the airport at the end of our trip. We loved the location too. Right next to the monorail Station to whisk us to the former Fairgrounds for the 1962 world fair.

BelgiumThe rooms could be a bit bigger and when I went to breakfast something was going on in the kitchen as I had to wait 45 minutes to get simple scrambled eggs.
The hotel has some old "chique" to it. The location is great, near major tourist spots like the market and the Space Needle. Rooms as nice and have all needed amities.

Good central location. 5 mins to Pike Place and monorail. Nice area and within walking distance of good restaurants.

United StatesComfortable and was able to use the Link to reach the hotel from the airport. Was able to walk a few blocks to get to Pike Place. Ferry terminal to Bainbridge was a bit of a further walk but doable if you don't have mobility issues (note: lots of stairs).

United KingdomWe had a lovely stay and would recommend the hotel. Maybe the elevators were a bit slow sometimes.
The location is excellent, we travelled on the 1 line train link from the airport and the hotel is less than 5 mins walk from a station. You are also right next to a transport link to the Needle and to Lake Union. It is a short walk to Pike Place. The bed was very comfy. The food in Oliver's was very good and the staff were very helpful.

United Arab EmiratesThis is not against the property specifically, but there are a lot of homeless people on the walk from the hotel to pike market. This is an issue for all hotels and businesses in the area, though.
Large bedroom size, comfortable beds, blackout windows, short walk to pike market, waterfront and space needle

SingaporeI wish there could be a hot kettle for us to boil water instead of boiling one cup at a time. The lifts are a little slow as this is an old hotel, but maybe that is its charm. It is a pity that the side lounge can only be accessed by climbing the staircase. I noticed that the hotel guests are mostly seniors and so the lounge was empty as walking up the stairs can be quite daunting. If the side lounge could be flat, then there will be more seating space.
The hotel is located right next to the Seattle Monorail to the Space Needle and the Dale Chihuly Museum. We discovered that the hotel is so near to the Westlake Center, so we could have taken the Link Light Rail from the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport instead of the cab which we did. We chose the cab as this was our first time to Seattle but if I were to go there again, I would take the light link rail which is cheaper and faster than the cab as there is no need to be stuck in the traffic congestion. I like it that the hotel is only about 5-10 mins walk to the Pike Place, but not too near to be noisy. I would like to commend one of the hotel counter staff Francesco. We reached the hotel before the check-in time after a long flight. We accept that we would have to sit in the lounge area waiting for the room to be available. He was cheerful and came to us as soon as when our room was available.

United StatesParking is a pain, as all places in downtown. There is a parking structure next to the hotel with $50 charge per day, which was stated in the hotel information in advance.
Very quaint boutique hotel that is walking distance to the Pike. The room was clean and quiet.

BelgiumThere was not much room in the bathroom, especially on the toilet.
We had some troubles with the baggage that came a whole day later from the airport then we. The persons behind the desk dit a fantastic job helping us getting in touch with delta airlines and when the bags arrived at the hotel they even brought it right to our room. They also had answers to all our questions about how things work in the US en in particular in seattle.
