Both of the ladies at the front desk during the day and the evening were exceptional they seem truly concerned about what I thought about the room and my stay. That's the only reason I didn't rate this stay a one. But the room itself was really nice. Everything seemed to be brand new and they obviously put some money into this place. Oh, and the bathroom was big enough for me to move around in my wheelchair. That was good. There was also a safety bar next to the toilet. But this was far from being handicapped accessible room.

Let's start with the bathtub. They do have a handicapped seat that folds up. That was leaning next to the bathtub. And apparently, you unfold it and stick. The metal parts on one end into a bracket on the far wall, and it has little rubber pads on the other end that are supposed to stay on the edge of the bathtub. Well, the seat was WAY too far back to reach anything, rendering it virtuallyuseless to me. Especially somebody with no legs like myself. It was simply installed far too far back to be of any use. I couldn't reach the knobs and God forbid I try to get the shower head. It is a 'shower massage' like shower head, but it was SO high up there was no way to possibly reach it. And then the sink was far too high. It came almost up to my chin. While the cabinet the sink is on, looks antique and the whole sink and vanity look like marble, which was nice, but again, far too high, and then they had an illuminated mirror above that. And if I sat up straight, I could see my eyes just in the bottom strip of the mirror under the illumination part, which rendered it pretty much useless except for as a light. And then the bed, the bed is probably a good 8 inches too high, which probably could be alleviated simply by putting the boxspring on the floor. I know you don't want to mess up your nice carpet, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. The reason being I say it's too high, it's because I'm a 60-year-old man who spent a good 40 years on crutches, so I've got pretty good upper body strength, and I had to turn around and launch myself up onto the bed, and then quickly pivot and grab ahold of the bedding and pull myself off the cliff there. I was too embarrassed to tell the front desk girl that the first time I tried to transfer onto the bed, I fell right off and fell straight on the floor. I was okay, but it did knock the wind out of me.

The beds were comfortable, but we had to request a clean comforter due to stains on the bedding. The pillows were very thin, too.

Sink was stopped up and would not drain. The front desk did give us drano to unclog the sink, but it didn’t really work during our stay. The fridge was not clean and looked as through there was black mold in the freezer section. The girl from the front desk did come and clean it while we were in the room. Sheets and comforter were stained. Pillows were extremely thin. Blinds did not block out light from outside when trying to sleep and the smoke detector kept flashing a bright white light which made it difficult to fall asleep.

Convenient location , close to the interstate. Property has been recently remodeled. It has a fresh new appearance but still lacks modernization. The staff was very welcoming. Tamalia provided excellent customer service.

Despite recent remodel , bathroom is still a bit dated. Old tub was just painted over and shower fixtures were a bit rusty.

    Clean

The mini blind wasn’t wide enough to cover the window. We had to put up a towel so you couldn’t see in our room. We were on the first floor.
