Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThey don’t offer life jackets at the poolside. I’m sure there is reason but when traveling with little kids it would be helpful to know so we can plan accordingly. Life jackets at the marina store on the property are $100 each and we were traveling with 3 kids so that was steep for us.
Beautiful property, well maintained, the pools are beautiful my kids enjoyed them the most.

United StatesThe staff at J's and the Waterfront did not meet our expectations. Our server at J's was very kind but didn't write down our order and kept bringing the wrong items. She gave us no time to look at the menu or explain anything to us. Kept asking you aren't ready yet? The bar was disappointing. We had ordered a skinny margarita. They poured sweet and sour mix into it. By no definition is a skinny margarita made with mix. We asked them to remake it and they did but charged us because and told us it was because the mistake was not there's but ours. This happened on 7/17 around 10pm. At Waterfront, we walked in and the hostess just stared at us. We said hi and nothing. Then he just asked how many. We were told we would need to wait 45 minutes which was odd because Open Table had plenty of open spots. There were plenty of open tables and people who arrived after us continued to be seated. I realize they might have had reservations and the restaurant was probably short-staffed but it just left us standing there feeling like we weren't welcomed. While we waited, we went to the bar to get a drink and were just ignored. We stood there and a waiter finally asked us if we needed anything. We asked if we could sit at the open table at the bar while we waited. He told us no but we could go downstairs and downstairs where there wasn't anyone else. Just an odd response. We just stood there like huh? And we just sat at the bar. I guess you want a family of 5 sitting at a bar taking up space from everyone. It took 10 min before we were asked what we wanted to drink. Once we were seated we had to ask for silverware with our meal. It was a bit of a bumpy start but then things went well in the end. Band was amazing. Sever was kind and helpful. I would just say that it's important to set a good first impression because we were close to leaving. Glad we didn't, the food was great.
We loved the location, the view, the pools, and the resort overall. It was beautiful and we will be coming back. The staff at the hotel pool were the best. Very attentive. Loved the activities for the kids and the birds. Our kids had a wonderful time and we loved that everything was within a short distance.

United StatesThere was a lot of complaining from employees at how busy the Memorial WE was and they were tired. There was a young bartender at the J’ , horrible attitude. Slamming bottles around, acted as if she was mad she had to wait on you. Front desk was slow and not real attentive. Jazz at the floating pool was excellent and very personable. Valet guys were great.

United StatesI work in the hospitality and leisure field so I totally understand the rhyme and reason on why things are the way they are. I accept and understand some of the issues I am going to list. I guess if I did not pay what I did, I would not mention most of these. With that being said, for the amount the resort charges and an additional $20 a day resort fee per person, you would think the standards of service would be a bit higher. Okay, here we go....The A/C controls in the room resulted in the A/C running the entire time (you could turn it off, but it would get hot and humid quick) The room was humid due to not being able to open a window. The shower door had a leak somewhere and the water flooded the floor after a 5-10 minute shower. The water pressure on the 6th floor was weak and took longer to rinse soap off than expected. The resort staff acted a bit unprofessional when we asked how to coordinate a ride to the airport. They basically said "we don't do that" unless it is coordinated a few days out. They gave us a list of local drivers that charged us $175 for a one way trip for two people. It was very stressful trying to coordinate a ride last minute not knowing if we would make our flight. I guess it is partially our fault, but for a high end resort, I feel like if I were one of the higher status guests or complained, they would have been more helpful. They had multiple vehicles and staff willing to make the trip, but essentially they said they don't do that unless scheduled in advance. Prices of food was high which is understandable staying with the cost of goods, but the alcohol drinks were much higher than they should have been or needed to be. Hot dog and bag of chips was $13. When checking out, we were told by one staff member that we could use the pool and shower until we left, but the day before a staff member did not mention there was a locker room with showers we could use.
The staff were very welcoming and professional. The breakfast buffet had great options and was very good. WiFi was strong throughout the resort, pillows and bedding were comfortable. Layout of the resort was well done. The putting course was a nice addition and the hot tub is very big and really hot. A nice bonus after a long day.

United StatesThe restaurant was one of the most expensive in the area; you are definitely paying a premium for convenience. We wished there were more places to eat within the resort. Aside from Keurig in the room, there is only one place to get a quick coffee in the hotel and the servers don't always know what they're doing. If you miss your allotted time for cleaning in the morning, you have to call to get your room serviced. Room service automatically charged a service fee and tip to the order, making it about 50% more expensive than the listed menu price. The only place to refill water bottles was in the fitness center, which was a 5 minute walk away from the main hotel.
The putting course was very cute and interesting; it's $11/person (50% off) between 3-5pm every day. The staff was very friendly. The fitness center was open 24 hours/day and was well-appointed.

United StatesPools were all very overcrowded and small. Would not return given that it was difficult to get in water unless you wanted to be in in an overly crowded pool. I’m sure if you enjoy and want to golf all day or own a boat, it is a nice resort to spend time in but otherwise, not worth the money for a weekend getaway in our groups’s opinion.
Grounds are nice. Putting Golf was nice.
