How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Breakfast was included in the room price according to my reservation but I was presented a bill. It was a nice breakfast but I had to dispute the bill.

The breakfast was mediocre and was an extra charge. The gravy for the biscuits and gravy was cold and coffee was not readily available.

Breakfast was good.. but was charged extra for it when it was supposed to be included.. but the manager is making it right. The front desk gentleman was hilarious and kept me and my family laughing as we were there for a stressful Dr appointment and surgery for our daughter. The room was super comfy and roomie for me and my family.. staff was amazing..

The only issue I had was when booking it said breakfast was included. When I got there it was not. Not the end of the world! But we had to time to kill in the morning so we did plan on that beforehand. Was a little confused by the app and the email from the hotel when I tried to change dates. The booking ap told me it was approved but the company email said other wise. The guy that checked us was so nice! Great service! We were only there one night so he was really the only staff we interacted with but definitely made us feel so welcomed and excited for our stay!

We actually spent two nights here. We had reservations for one night, but then we experienced frozen water pipes in our home and since we were already booked here, we made a reservation for a day before our initial reservation. The room was comfortable, spacious, and allowed us to forget about the mess we were going home to.

The room was very comfortable and spacious. We had a king accessible room due to my husband undergoing cancer treatment and needed the extra grab bars in the shower. It was perfect for him.

The pool was too cold to enjoy. Even our children felt it was too cold to be in.
The hotel was clean and comfortable. There was a nice store that snacks and such could be purchased from. Parking was free. Location met our needs as we didn’t mind the 20minute drive to downtown. There was a small charge for breakfast, but everything we had was delicious and the waitress was so kind. John with Guest Services was amazing. He went above and beyond for us letting our child choose a snack and introducing us to Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead. He always checked in with us as we entered or left and made us feel at home.

The night check in guy was not helpful and was a bit confused. Over priced breakfast and having to pay for it was uncommon for me staying at a Holiday Inn

Hotel and room was very clean, and the hotel staff was super friendly and helpful. I had to stay there due to flooding in my home nearby, and I was able to bring my dog and stay in a safe, comfortable spot for a few days where we could hang our hats and relax, for which we were very thankful.

Wish it had continental breakfast included for $170 per night.
Close to Top Golf and the family suite with 2 queens and a sofa bed was perfect! We are now in Nashville after being on the road for 12 days and in several hotels, our teenage son just commented the Holiday Inn we stayed in last night was the best hotel of our trip!
