Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe toilet in room 1039 is messed up. The thermostat wouldn't go lower and it wasn't keeping the room cool enough like we like it. The carpet in this hotel looks awful and the hallways get too warm in the summer. Lots of people always waiting to be helped at the check-in and seemed like maybe 2 of the 5 people were helping ppl get checked in. I paid $50 per night for parking and had to park myself down the street. I wasn't crazy abt the valet guys at all.
It was across the street from Busch stadium. Front desk was giving water to people checking in. St. Louis doesn't give away ANYTHING so the water was nice.

United StatesWhen we check in the room was 78 degrees and the a/c was on low. The whole outside wall was glass and the curtains were wide open allowing the afternoon sun to bake the room. When we put our drinks in the refrigerator there was leftover food from the last occupant. After we got back from the game and waiting for the crowd at the elevators (not the hotels fault) we got to our room and I went to get ice and the ice machine on our floor didn’t work
Staff was very nice. Breakfast was excellent. Location couldn’t have been better

United StatesPrice increase when Chicago is in town is wild. Even more wild is when you can’t check in until 4pm, so we planned and arrived at 4:30-4:45. At 4:45, the receptionist says “your room isn’t ready yet, so you’re going to have to have a seat and wait.” Excuse me, what? For $300-$400 for one “night” and I can’t even check in at 4:45? So we had to sit in the lobby while family after family checked in without issue. After 30 minutes of waiting, my wife finally went up to the counter to ask and the clerk says, “yeah it’s ready, someone should have told you already.” Wild. Management didn’t care. Didn’t offer a discount, breakfast voucher, not even a comped beverage at the lobby bar while we sat and waited. I don’t expect any of those things, but sheesh. For what you pay for one “night” they could have been a little more courteous. I’ve stayed at this hotel many times before and never had even a remotely bad experience, until now.

UruguayWhen we arrived there was no valet attendants and the cars were backed up, our digital key service didn’t work and staff was rude at the front desk, room was outdated and for some reason a facet (maybe one they removed at some point) was laying on the bedroom floor. Carpet had stains all over it.
The server at the restaurant for breakfast. She was amazing.

United StatesWhen we booked, we booked a King room but when we got there, they didn’t have those available. Also, our door kept getting stuck when we would try to get in and there was leaking around the faucet handles and the toilet ran constantly.
I loved its close proximity to multiple things.

United StatesThe bathroom was hot/there was no vent to clear out the steam. The bathroom door wouldn't stay open. We had to prop it open with one of our suitcases to let the steam out. I didn't like that we had to park in the parking deck half a block away and lug our luggage to and from the hotel from the parking garage.
I liked how close the hotel was to ballpark and that it had many options for food. The room was cool which was awesome on those hot days!

United StatesOur smoke detector beeped every time someone took a shower. We thought it was the battery and we called maintenance, they changed it and it still continued to beep when anyone took a shower. Our shower didn’t drain good so we were standing in dirty water. There was a picture broken and barely hanging on the wall that maintenance took away and a broken toilet paper holder. For what we paid for the room, these things should not be an issue.

United StatesI didn't like being in a separate tower than our children. That didn't feel very convenient and it made me nervous having them far away. They are all young adults and are over 18 but I would have been more comfortable closer to them.
The beds were comfortable. They tried to accommodate and change our rooms so we were close together but they were booked solid and consequently were unable to move us.
