The regular room was very small. You had to climb up many steps to get there and the shower was very tiny

It’s closeness to Restaurants, stores, and the Del Coronado Hotel, which was right on the beach. The hotel staff were great.

The pool area needed towels restocked more frequently and needed to be skimmed for leaves and bugs

We loved the location and having so many options for food and activities just steps away from the hotel. It was great being able to walk to all our activities/restaurants.

It looks like they didn't have enough towels in the pool area. My husband needed to come and ask for them all the time, they bring them in the next 20 minutes.

We're absolutely loving our two-year stay at the Cordova Hotel! Its unbeatable proximity to the beach, fantastic pool, appetizer vouchers, and the array of on-site restaurants make it a perfect spot. Plus, if you're lucky, you can snag parking right behind the hotel.

This is our 5th stay here and things have gone down and the prices have gone up. The Ac in our room leaked on the nightstand next to us while we slept. The room was cleaned but we found couple spots that were not clean.

The location is amazing. The suites are big for a famine of 4.

Hot tub and ice machine were both not working. No broom in room to manage sand during our 6 night stay. Room 71 needs some TLC in the bathrooms and kitchen. For the cost of the room, it should be better maintained.

Staff was helpful. Courtyard was nicely maintained.

Some (but not all) of the front desk staff aren’t very warm. Travelling with young children is already stressful enough. Having a standoffish reception at the hotel is discouraging.

Location can’t be beat! Right across the street from Hotel Del and what we think is the best stretch of beach for families. Great value for a family of four by booking a one bedroom suite with sofa bed. If we stayed longer we would’ve definitely used the kitchenette to make breakfast.

Be aware the second floor requires steps. I don't think there is an elevator.

Location is excellent. We walked to the tourist bus stop, so we got around ll of San Diego easily. Lots of restaurants, shops, sightseeing right there on Coronado. El Cordova is a unique place to stay. The restaurant downstairs is a little noisy at night but it didn't bother me. Nice looking pool that I didn't have a chance to enjoy. The first picture is the Hotel del Coronado across the street. The second one at the Little Frenchie restaurant down the block. The third the view from our hotel porch off the kitchen.

Excellent location! It’s perfect. Hotel is old and outdated, our windows were so dirty. It did not feel too clean. Some renovations would be nice. Our room was very spacious. The pool is tiny. The prices for the rooms should definitely be cheaper. We had room #5 which was right over Miguel’s restaurant and we were with a child. It was sooo loud in the evening and she had trouble sleeping. The front desk staff was so nice and helpful.

Building is def quirky. As mentioned, all the rooms are accessed externally. But the doors to the stairs leading up to the rooms do not have keycard locks. We had no issues but could potentially be a security issue or for people who tend to worry about such things.

Location is outstanding, right across from the Del. The building is a little quirky, all the rooms are accessed from the outdoors and all surround a restaurant patio/courtyard area. Our room had a little kitchen, which was unexpected. We had no use for it this trip, but could be nice for someone on a longer stay.

The check in experience was confusing (finding our room). We felt we were being pushed into paying for hotel parking, when there were other options. The Wifi speed was pretty good, but we got kicked off again and again, and had to put the code in every single time, which was frustrating.

The bed was comfortable. Decor was charming. Location to the beach and restaurants was great. Close to downtown San Diego. Check in texts from staff were appreciated.

The TV (couldn't figure it out). Cleanliness could be improved. Luckily found 2-hour parking right around the hotel when we needed it, so didn't pay for parking, but did have to continue to move the car.

Amazing location, across the street from the Hotel Coronado and the beach. Easily walkable to all the shops and restaurants. The hotel is a great value for the location and space. We enjoyed our one bedroom suite room - it was very spacious, and found the bed to be comfortable. It is a charming place with character and has a nice courtyard. Nice staff.
