Older beachfront hotel that is being refreshed, but not finished yet. We wanted a place to enjoy the beach and sleep, and this delivered. Mexican restaurant next door was above average, with a great staff. Great ocean view and convenient walk to the beach. Not luxurious, but still met our expectations.

No Ice maker. There was a fridge with freezer, coffee maker, and other appliances in room. No wifi that I could find.

I’d like the attention and the location of this hotel

The damage of the property. Ex there was a scratch sofa, a an old tub.

Let me start by saying if there was another hotel available, and yes I check, I would have immediately left!! The entire hotel was disgustingly filthy!! Starting with scattered, rusty pool furniture, trash in the pool, weeds everywhere around the pool to trash lining the outside halls of the rooms. The room... was the worst!! Either their maids just pretend to clean, or they don't have any maids. Mold on the ceiling as you first walk in. From busted, broken, dirty shower walls, rusted, dirty tub, the broken shower head that you couldn't move or it would fall off, to the toilet seat barely being attached and the ceiling vent covered in dirt, hanging out of the ceiling, to some type of stains on and holes in the towels. Cobwebs in the corners, dust on every surface, dirt on the walls and doors that looked like poop and blood, the smears and smudges on the windows and mirrors. The floor had not been touched by a broom or mop in who knows how long!! There were food crumbs and ants on the floor. We had to walk around in our flip flops the entire stay. Trash on the patio. Plastic bags, a bandana, squeeze it bottles, dirty patio furniture, etc I bought a broom, disinfectant cleaner, rags, air freshener, towels, washcloths, pillows, and blankets. I had to clean the entire room on my vacation! Unacceptable is an understatement!!!! I'm blown away that the Virginia State Health Department lets this place operate!!! I went to check out at 9:15 am. The doors to the lobby were locked and there was no one at the counter. Needless to mention they also don't have enough parking spots for their guests. Multiple cars were blocked in and other larger cars had to park elsewhere because they couldn't fit. The only thing this place has going for whatsoever is the location! Otherwise, you'd be better off sleeping in your car.

Nothing, I was disgusted with the entire experience. Place is absolutely disgusting and dirty.

Dirty sheets, dirty shower, dirty vents dripping water. Never took my shoes off, wore them to bed with socks and in the shower. Staff is not friendly.

The rooms, has mold in the bathrooms, they looked filthy, outside the door they put all dirty blankets and trash from the room just in the floor In the hallway, they were not ready for our bedrooms, seems like they didn’t have clue about my reservation even though was paid in advance, they accommodate one room in the first floor another in the third floor, so expensive for so dirty service

The room key never worked. Had to keep going back to the office. The room was dirty. Bathroom was dirty.

The location was the only thing we liked.

It was dirty, we felt unsafe. We didn't have a bath mat in the shower both my husband and I also fell the toilet was very low and the bed well there was one just a mattress on the floor. We spent over 1000.00 for two nights.very overrated when we asked for extra towels we were given dirty used ones.

Nothing. It was abysmal

It was awful. One of the beds had a giant wet spot on it when we first arrived. The entire room smelled like some sort of heavy industrial cleaner. There were bugs and old cereal covered in hair by the night stand. We couldn't even stay the night because it felt dirty and unkempt. The microwave was horrendous and didn't even work. I went to the front desk to ask for my money back and there was no one there. We checked in around 4 or 5 and left around midnight because we just couldn't do it anymore. The hotel is literally falling apart. Most of the metal in the bathroom was covered in rust. I didn't feel safe sleeping there with my children.

The staff was friendly beds was okay

I didn't like. That the pool wasn't clean so I couldn't get.It it was late in the morning.About 2 AM, so I needed a room. The hallways were really messy. Somebody needs to take and put a vacuum to it.

Only good thing was had a great view of fireworks

Toilet was so small and low, shower was gross, water didn't drain, staff was nice but hard to understand.

The location was great, with the boardwalk basically right at your balcony. The bed was memory foam and the sheets appeared to be clean, having no odor.

I’ll start with the staff. Staff is not at all friendly or pleasant to interact with. I mean zero personality. If I’m paying a $1 anywhere, I expect people to show they appreciate my $1, because I can spend it and more anywhere else. This just happened to be the last hotel available for the 4th of July weekend at the time of my booking. Didn’t like it so much so, I booked only one night here and proceeded to book with another competitor in the area for the other 2 days of the weekend Lastly, the motel room was filthy. Toilet seat was broken, toilet it self was not stable, toilet constantly ran all night, ceiling had peeling paint (big patches, hopefully not lead). Bugs around the bed at the floor. Tub nasty stained and chipping. Floor appears to have never been cleaned throughout the room. I only sat on the bed, I was too afraid to sit anywhere else. I would definitely NEVER recommend this motel and let’s just say against my better judgment, I see why this is a 2 star should be 1-star motel. The negative reviews are valid, I don’t say that often.

The location is amazing. The front lawn is perfect for dogs. The beach is literally steps away from the beach and the rooms are oceanfront.

Bathtub kept getting clogged, room is really outdated, parking is really close, safe was locked and had no key, ac doesnt seem to cool room down enough on the really hot days.

Location right on the beach. Room was comfortable but definitely needs some upgrades to the furniture.

No coffee maker or coffee in the room. No ironing board. Commode would not flush and had to be repaired. The air conditioning did not cool the room enough. The door security latch was very loose.

Location and pool hasn’t bleach but felts clean!!

The room wasn’t totally clean the staff just change comforter but the skirt bed was really dirty with gums, hair and dust !! Decorative chairs too old and scratchy!!
