I expected more of a bed and breakfast type feel. But it was definitely more of a room to rent. Bed was comfortable, room was spacious. Only complaint, but you can’t block out or turn off the porch light.

Property is in a great location and cool old historic building.

Too many Coombs hotels making it confusing to find correct accommodations which was unaware of. Small shower with low shower head meant for disabled. Difficult to use phone as key, up charge $10 for real key.

For one, we could hear every single person come in and out of the building, walk around upstairs, every door upstairs open and shut, all night. It’s an old building so some noise is to be expected but it was hard to sleep. Also, same issue when walking around our own room - things creaked and shook. The DirectKey app didn’t work so we couldn’t get into our room when we thought and had to drive to water street to get a physical key. The other issue we had was our room had someone else’s trash still in it and water in the tub.

Very convenient location. Enough parking, safe, can get downtown easily. The shared porch was lovely. The suite itself was beautiful and old school but that’s where what I liked about the property ends.

The toilet was blocked from the start we couldn't even use it at all in the morning, not sure how it was not noticed by the cleaner. There is no staff on site which makes it more challenging to flag such issues. The online checking + key on the app is a bit cumbersome and lacks human touch. The rooms are not very well soundproofed, which is expected in such an old house.

The house is historic and very beautiful. The bedroom was very large.

This was the first time that we had come across the virtual checkin and Bluetooth tooth key app, were a bit tricky to set up but did work for us. Some other guests had to get a key card from the nearby hotel.

Location and style were excellent. Really nice place and town. Beware that they use virtual check in/out and you need a key app with Bluetooth link to the door lock. It's a bit tricky but it worked. You can get a physical key for $10 from a nearby hotel though if you prefer.. You can also call them for help though.

No control over temp in room. It was stuffy at times. Fans were provided, but would have liked a little cooler. We were there 3 nights but no offer to replace towels or privide fresh. We had no ice access. Well, we had access to a room with an ice machine but it was turned off…no bucket, no ice.

Great location. Room was small but nice

The bed was comfortable but noisy and was on platform that slid sideways. We would have like to have had hot coffee and a pastry or continental breakfast, but we were aware that was not a part of the agreement.

The house is beautiful and well maintained. The bathroom was nice. We were very pleased overall with the aesthetics.

So many emails and texts. The electronic key was annoying. You have to download another app to your phone. The facility could use more attention to detail. For example, the bathroom off the living room had no hand soap. The ceiling above my bed, above the fan, had a lot of damage and could use a simple medallion. You notice it when lying in bed. The wifi instructions were contradictory. You are charged 20$ for cleaning the room! Attention to detail not met. Impersonal. No one is on site. A beautiful historic home could be outstanding.

The hallway and stairs are gorgeous. The old home is for sure beautiful. Tidy grounds. The living room was spacious enough to relax in and meet other guests.

The property has gone way downhill. Very impersonal automated check-in, which I did not like. No one on staff to greet you. Years ago they had a yummy breakfast and charming host. Everything is rundown now- paint, rusty toilet paper holder, paint chips on floor, stained curtains. I would not stay here again.

    Location. Good price.

Keyless entry didn't work. A frustrating start. There was no breakfast. Room and bath needs a good dusting. Only one bath towel per person. Girls usually need two towels.

Location was fabulous. Beautiful historical building and furniture. The staff member who brought us towels after he got off work was awesome. He was very friendly and accommodating. .

It was similar to staying at a friend’s beautiful house. Very nice but, you couldn’t ask for things that were wrong. The coffee pot didn’t work, not all of the blinds worked, the bathroom door was broken. It’s called a b&b but there is no breakfast and there is not an attendant on premises.

ridiculous ‘self check-in’ that still requires a person from some other facility to come over and do it the old fashioned way. I hate these non-personal, non-working sorry-ass excuses for reducing staff. Especially at a $200+ price tag.
