My side of bed made cracking sounds everytime I got up from it. Mattress was not the best.

The carpets seamed a little worse for the wear, but seeing as it caters to a lot of skiers, it makes sense.

I don't have any complaints. Just be understanding that it was built when we did things differently. For example, there was a clothes closet in the living room and one next to it in the master bedroom. That's fine, but the weird thing were two three-way light switches -- one in the living room and one in the master bedroom -- that turned on lights in both closets. Not a problem, but an example of the quirky nature of the building.

We stayed in the summer and most of Steamboat Springs is geared towards the winter. It was a perfect summer location, but we hardly spent any time there. I could image how it would work in the winter and I think that could be great as well. I liked the location which is far enough from the crazy of town to be very peaceful, but not so far that one needs to think twice about going into town. I like the funky architectural style -- while not current, it's very well maintained and our room was comfortable.

This wasn't a big issue for us, but it would be worth knowing that the loft rooms have big skylights, which makes it hard if you need to put kiddos to bed before sunset or want to sleep in.

The hotel has everything you need for a fun trip. The loft condo we stayed in was clean and well equipped with everything we needed for the weekend. The hotel has a nice indoor pool with 2 large hot tubs. The adjacent patio has a nice grassy area and lawn chairs plus grills. My son enjoyed the game room, although they could use a couple new ping pongs.

Remember back when a working class family could actually afford to stay and ski in Ski Town USA? The Steamboat Springs Hilltop is emblematic of that era—views, facilities, solitude, affordability, amenities are perfect for families and couples. Sure, the place needs a few updates (skylight replacements, bathroom fixtures, etc.), but this doesn't diminish the experience. The staff are friendly and helpful, and they really care about their guests. Thank you!

The hotel is a bit outdated, and the carpet has definitely seen better days. However, we were told the hotel is undergoing renovations starting April 2025. The activities room is a nice concept, but not used because it's outdated. A makeover with free activities (not coin operated) such as a pool table, air hockey, etc, would be great for families to enjoy. Another important upgrade would be smart TVs in the room so people can sign into their preferred streaming service for shows, movies, etc. If you are sensitive to smells, the hotel does carry a lot of the food aroma from guests cooking in their rooms. It didn't bother us, but something to be aware of.

The staff are super friendly. The pool and fitness center are great. We really liked the location because the views are fantastic and it's quiet. The free hotel shuttle is an easy option to get into town or to the ski resort. The rooms are huge and very comfortable. We had a 2 bedroom suite which was perfect for 5 of us. The kitchen is equipped so you can prepare simple meals. They serve a light breakfast in the lobby each morning. Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate are available all day. There are a lot of nice seating areas in the lobby, and the fireplace is especially nice to sit around. We loved our stay and would definitely book again.

Maybe needs some updating of the kitchen appliances. Oven/ stove and some bathroom fixtures.

Lots of amenities and shuttle to and from Steamboat Base. Liked the nice fire pit in lobby and all day coffee. Having the ski lockers as well as kitchen facilities was great.

Shower was a little dirty. Hot tub was pretty clean but had a few dirty bubbles that were a little gross. The guys said the pull out bed was uncomfortable. It seemed old. No fan in the bathroom. We had to check in about 40 minutes late because the room was not ready, but they took off the resort fee and allowed us to check out a long hour later. Would have been to have DVDs to check out to watch in the rooms on the DVD players

Great location and ski shuttle. Great price for the space in the loft and kitchenette. Hot tub was nice to have and good size The stocked kitchenette was great! Cozy lounge Work out room was great size with good machinery/weights for a hotel, although changing the carpet to a moppable floor would be more cleanly.

The place is a bit outdated and the rooms smelled of smoke. The carpeting and amenities need updates.

The property is easy to park at, close to town and the staff were friendly. The beds were also very comfortable.
