How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThe Breakfast was the same everyday. There was no variety. Hence I stopped eating it after 2nd day. I wish some of it was changed or cooked on demand. Also the time provided was very less.
The cleanliness of the room was not very well done. Even after informing the rooms were not cleaned or had to ask to clean again.

Verified reviewEven if the Inn is a short drive from Boulder, the location at the Twin Lakes is great, esp. for morning runs. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and the yummy breakfast.

Verified reviewThis hotel is a smaller, family owned and very "warm" hotel. It's in the process of some upgrades, but the quality and cleanliness and "friendliness" of the place is wonderful. It's a perfect place for families or people who want something that isn't just cookie cutter. There is a full kitchen facility in the hotel in addition to a wonderful breakfast. The suite we were in also had a microwave/fridge/coffee machine. It was a special gem in our travels.

Verified reviewThe Inn is located in a quiet neighbourhood. In the evenings we were able to go for some nice walks. The Avery brewery was near by and was a nice surprise exploring the neighborhood. We loved the hospitality of the staff. They were very personable and gave a nice history of the Inn as well as suggestions to explore Boulder.

Verified reviewThe bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The staff was very nice. The breakfast was good, no warm eggs though...
I asked for a hotel in Boulder and this one was within a small neighborhood far from Boulder. It's a 2 story building with no snack vending machine, just ice; rooms have carpet that look dirty (well vacuum though) because they are old; AC was faulty because no Freon. We requested a change of room and we were put in the showroom which had hard vinyl and where the AC was fantastic. We considered $170 too much for what we got.

We are located 5 miles away from the heart of Boulder which can take about 10 minutes by car. We are about the same distance from Longmont as well. We have a brand new vending machine that we are working on reprogramming and getting it up and running here momentarily so we apologize that wasn't functional during your stay. Within 2 miles of us we have a King Soopers grocery story that you can also pick up great snack options from. We also do not have a showroom but we did move you to a ground floor room by the lobby. All of our ground floor rooms have vinyl flooring. We are sorry the carpet appeared dirty in your first room you checked into, we do regularly shampoo them and that carpet was changed within the last couple years. We do have plans to renovate all of our rooms and change out the AC units by some time next year so hopefully next time if you stay with us we can give you a much better experience. Take care! Location is in the middle of a neighborhood. Remodeling is in process. Room is configured so the sink in the kitchen is your only option. Very little to no privacy when using the bathroom. After 5:00, no access to bikes for trail riding to the “lakes.”
Hi Dina, Thank you for your review and feedback. We are glad you enjoyed our quiet location by the playground and had a comfortable stay on our beds. The benefit of being located in a neighborhood is how safe and quiet it is without the noise of traffic. We are working on renovating all of our rooms and are hoping to have everything completed sometime next year. The inn was built in 1985 and converted into a hostile and under that code the sink is shared between the bathroom and kitchenette. However, we will be changing that and incorporating a vanity in the bathroom and have a separate sink for the kitchenette when we renovate the rooms. We are sorry you didn't feel like you had much privacy using the bathroom in your room as it is enclosed and blocked off from the room by a door that you can lock as well. Once you have signed our liability form, our free bike rentals are on a first come first serve basis and you are welcome to bike on the trails at anytime, even after 5:00 pm if you wanted to go trail riding to the twin lakes. We are happy to guide you next time if you aren't familiar with the area. We look forward to having you return one day and can ensure you will have a much better experience next time! Take care!
