This is a pretty basic place, catering mostly to people who come to Colorado to enjoy outdoors. We loved this, but be aware if that is not the type of traveller you are.

Reasonable price (for Boulder), good location just a short drive out of the city. Our family loved the "camp-like" rustic setting, with plenty of room for the kids to play. It reminded me of the vacations of my childhood (a good thing!)

While is it is a lodge hotel, but there is no daily cleaning. We were not aware of that. Also please note that there is no AC.

Remote location, not for someone wanting to be “in” Boulder, The dorm style rooms are reminiscent of a summer camp, less than to be desired.

Stunning area with natural beauty, main lodge is really nice and a close bike ride, jog, or walk into town for those in decent athletic shape. Would be happy to return.

The wifi was shocking. Considering how far the location is from town, having good WiFi is essential for travellers, especially for internationals.

The Lodge is located in an amazing place. The valley is an awesome place to stay, with a number of trailheads literally next to the lodge. The beds are really sturdy and comfortable. The bathrooms were really good too.

Rooms get a little hot.

Loved the peace and quiet, smell of campfires during the day, the beer and snack selection, trails behind the Lodge. Just an incredible place all around.

Nothing everything was great!

The facilities were awesome. Loved sitting out by the fire. The location to town was great - nestled in the mountains but within steps to the boulder canyon trail which made for a beautiful cycle into downtown

There is one bathroom per 2 rooms in the hostel. There is no mobile signal in the area and the internet connection is not always strong enough in the hostel cause it is located further away from the reception. The only available food is preprocessed (reheated in a microwave or soaked in hot water) or dry (e.g., protein bars and crisps).

The location was great, only a few minutes by bus from Boulder. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The staff at the reception were very helpful and nice, and there was a band playing live bluegrass music at night at the bar.

That I couldn’t stay longer!

So much character, plus it’s right next to Boulder creek. So great to sit next to the creek while we ate dinner. There were e bikes to rent, a swimming pool and delicious beverages at the bar in the lobby. The staff was fantastic! So personable and helpful finding places to eat. Can’t wait to come back!

Bathroom.needs an upgrade, kitchen had very few essentials

Although the bed was comfortable and the kitchen okay, the bathroom was not clean. There is mold in the shower. The shower head squirted water all over the place. The TV didn't work. The heater or something was very noisy and after waiting 45 minutes until check-in, I had to ask the person at the front counter if we could check-in. Mind you, we were the ONLY people waiting. I have never had this experience before and I have stayed at hundreds of places on four continents. If you are waiting it is normal for them to say, your room is ready. They also charge a $150 incidental fee, which I read nothing about when I booked the place. It took a week for the money to return to my card. This is by far the highest incidental fee I have ever paid and that includes four-star hotels. It makes no sense.

We are not dog people and there were dogs everywhere. They were on leashes and hopefully people were scooping the poop. Later in the afternoon it seemed to be that you would hear dogs bark even to the evening. Usually after 10:00 I guess people had their dogs inside didn't hear them through the night.

Very rustic area , feeling of being in the woods and very relaxed feeling. Beds for very comfortable, love the stream that goes by the hotel. They had a hot tub and a sauna. We would stay there again

The bathroom had mold in the shower, the hot tub and pool were pretty dirty as well.
