Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SpainA wonderful place close to the airport, set next to a small lake. We stayed in one of the tents, which was incredibly cozy and had everything we needed. The bathrooms are spacious, spotless, and beautifully integrated into the natural surroundings. The on-site restaurant offers a wide variety of food, and sometimes they even have activities like yoga classes. It's a real shame we only stayed briefly — we would have loved to spend more time here.

United KingdomUnfortunately one of the receptionists I encountered was quite rude and not very helpful to offer me advice on activities to join in on (as a solo traveller there is the option to join other group outings arranged, based on availability and other guests). His mood really negatively impacted my first day!
The grounds and rooms are beautiful (I stayed in one of the tents). You really do feel you are in an isolated little oasis. The breakfast is delicious. There is a nice bar with comfy seating for hanging around all day. Great place to stay especially if you just want to veg out and capitalise on the property/pool/bar for a day before or after going on a more active holiday. A bit expensive for the area, but I think it was worth it!

New ZealandFourth visit and just as good as last time! Wonderful peaceful location, great food, nice pool, good bird life around the pond and trees, and wonderful staff in all areas but especially Olivia in reception and William in restaurant . Not far from airport, local shopping mall (for last minute needs). A great entry/exit point for Uganda. I’ll be back!

SpainWhen ordering food at the restaurant, it took a considerable amount of time for it was served. Many guests were complaining about this and we tried multiple days, weekend and week days, but it always took long. Prices were also on the high side, which makes it worse as you have to wait that long for it to be served. The quality of the food was good though, although the portions at breakfast are on the small side. But that’s something we experienced throughout Uganda so perhaps more a cultural thing.
We stayed 3 nights in the glamping tent at the end of our travel. At the beginning of our travel we stayed in one of the rooms so that makes it extra easy to compare. The tent was hands down our favorite. More spacious than expected, with a gorgeous view on the lake and your own private terrace, comfortable beds, and the best outdoor bamboo shower I’ve ever had, and with great water pressure too. You share the toilet and shower with the other camping guests, but never had any issues of it being occupied. Furthermore we selected this stay because it came with a pool which we gladly made use of as it was extremely hot outside. Pool was on the small side but clean, with again lovely views on the lake with monkeys playing in the trees in the background.

The room was spacious, clean and silent. Relaxing atmosphere :) The restaurant affiliated with the hotel has very good food, at a fair price. Nice breakfast included in the price. We booked the shoebill tour via ViaVia and it was a great experience. Highly recommended! We also booked the transfer to the airport and it worked perfectly fine.

United KingdomThat we didn't stay longer in Uganda.
We loved the garden with wild monkeys frequently visiting. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It is a short walk to Carrefour and Lake Victoria, which is beautiful. The food served in the restaurant was delicious. Especially the Combination and Rolex, and reasonably priced, too. Sitting outside listening to nature was very relaxing. We stayed here before and after our tour and really enjoyed it. We would love to return to Uganda. It's such a beautiful country with really lovely people. Thank you, Uganda, for an amazing time.

UgandaWe were disappointed that on the 26th many of the breakfast options weren't available, although they did their best to accommodate our kids despite this. The zipline is also down which means the 'playground' is a little lacking at the moment.
Breakfast is always delicious, the new pool is a nice addition. Seeing monkeys, birds and other wildlife is a lovely plus. It's a quiet place, and always feels refreshing.
