Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. United KingdomMy only issue was I called to ask for my room to be cleaned and unfortunately this did not happen.
I really enjoyed my stay at Athena hotel. The room was a highlight. Breakfast was great and the staff were amazing. Everyone was really helpful and friendly. Each time I called the reception they were more than ready to assist. Special mention to Jean, Charles, Emmanuel, Joseph and all the women at the front desk.

KenyaThe shower had very good pressure but the overhead wasn't turning on so we relied on the hand one, which was also not facing forward well. Had to stand on the side.
Check in was easy. Location superb! Just that the foyer was very small and could only fit 2 cars so drop off was rushed. The staff are ALL awesome. Jesse (our waiter) totally totally exceeded expectations at handling us. He was very knowledgeable on the menu and general questions about Uganda that we asked. Jean Claudde was also very helpful whenever we needed assistance. The waiters on our checkout morning, awesome people. My mam was very happy.

Athena never disappoints. This hotel is one of the few hotels in Kampala with the best customer service and value for your money. The amenities are a bit limited, but the overall care, cleanliness, and room size are very generous. I always enjoy my stays at this hotel.

KenyaI felt as though the staff was a little rigid at times. I had requested Jacky, the night time receptionist to assist me with an invoice that split my costs. She said it was impossible. This was strange and clearly wrong as the receptionist the following morning was able to assist me. She clearly just did not want to take the time to do it which is upsetting. Also with the restaurant. On one occasion i was denied having both vegetables and starch with my main protein, yet the last four days prior i was served with a vegetable and a starch. I am not clear on the inconsistencies, but suggest all staff remain on the same page to ensure a pleasant experience for their guests especially as these were very small asks.
The hotel was clean, located in a good area and has food that is pretty good. The staff were also very welcoming and tried their best to help me with what i needed during my stay. Special thanks to the team who sorted me out during my long work trips out of Kampala.
