No ventilation in the room except airconditioning, which has to blow very hard to get the room cold.

Room is well equiped, only quite warm. Staff is helpful. I like the setup of the rooms with plants and little patios. No noise, eventhough you are in a busy area.

The lights were on and off in the main hall way. There was no security at the front desk in our building and we realized the next morning our door did not lock from the outside. The first day we had no hot water for showers.

It is a unique place you cannot compare with anything else. A quite area in the middle of a crazy town designed with charm and fitted with high quality hardware and sanitary wares alike. A boutique hotel to discover and remember.

breakfast really basic and not compatible with a 4 star hotel, the rooms on the ground floor are humid and dark-no real windows, the rooms and the reception area are divided by a very trafficked road-annoying to cross every time as the drivers obviously do not stop for pedestrians, the bedding and pillows are old and look like they have seen better days.

We were put into a different room than we booked or was in the picture, but decided we were not bothered to move. The food and drinks menu was limited, so we found ourselves ordering more food deliveries than planned. I didn't eat the breakfast that was included in the price as I didn't like the options. The pool looked more like a pond, so we were disappointed not to be able to have a swim.

Beautifully designed hotel with friendly staff. Considering location, it was actually really peaceful. Having tea and coffee facilities in the room was great.

Bourgainviller is a world of its own. When you enter it like a labyrinth of a hidden city. All rooms are unik and different you feel relaxed and ‘at home’. It is definitely the best hotel experience in Kampala

This is my favourite hotel in the whole wide world. It is a delightfully chic hotel, an oasis of calm in the busy city. They arranged transfers etc. Wonderful breakfast including delicious coffee. Pleasant restaurant. Beautiful room with lots of space. Very comfortable communal spaces.

Terrible ‘gym’ and ‘pool’. Front of house lady was awful - forgot to give me my key when I checked in. Very unhelpful throughout. To top it off, tried to charge me $30 extra on my hotel rate - when I pointed it out she shrugged her shoulders. Will not be coming back.

Restaurant could out more time and energy into what they offer and making sure they have items on hand.

This is the most unique beautiful hotels in Kampala. You feel like you just stepped onto the streets of France when the noice and bustle of Kampala is literally steps away. We love this place!
