Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Amazing location right at the shores of Lake Victoria with plenty of quiet in the morning. The views are fantastic. Tends to get busy in the evening.

UgandaThe breakfast was a limited buffet - it was okay. Rooms were adequate but could have been cleaner. Balcony had a gorgeous view. There was a good shower.
Such a beautiful location - that is the main attraction of Kaazi. The pools are great, so is the playground and zipline. Perfect place to go with little kids - they also had toys/games out and available for extra fun.

United KingdomThe gym needed more attention. There was one piece equipment in there that just didn't work. Hahahaha. The spa did not appear to fully operational. Also I think Kaazi should partner up with some official touring companies, so there are tours and activities on offer from the reception. There was a hole in the mosquito net covering the bathroom window; I had to plug it with some tissue to keep mosquitoes from entering the bathroom.
The welcoming staff who were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I was impressed with the fact that there was a problem with a device in another room; for example the landline telephone was not working. The staff came to check and fix the same issue in my room, without me even reporting it. The staff were proactive as the engineer who fixed my landline took on board my opinion about an air conditioning device not being effective reporting it back to reception. Who sent another staff member to look into further. However, not a worry for me as there was a standing electrical fan also in the room to keep the place cool. Brilliant chamber maid service. The room was always made clean and presentable daily. The restaurant and breakfast had good quality tasty food and top service. I was happy they took on board my suggestion to have some fruits at breakfast guests could just grab for even take away such as bananas, apples and oranges. I liked the restaurant's open roof top floor. Had some monkey's come and entertain the guests at breakfast time by trying and sometimes getting some food themselves! The location of the hotel is wonderful, overlooking the lake Victoria and the layout of the hotel encompassing nature, having a swimming pool, a big enough area to walk and sit for small to large groups, play areas for kids and big kids ;-) The place is really popular many people even came just for day trips. There are security gates with security staff on patrol 24hours before entrance into the Kaazi Beach Resort. I like the staff, they made me laugh calling me Mr. Kwaku ( Kwaku being my first name).

United StatesRooms 6/10 Decent, clean and basic. For a resort itself expected more, it felt like I was in a dormitory with private doors. The TV was so small I thought it was a joke. It also didn't work like the manual suggested. They should have not even had a TV there. A radio would have been better. They kept rooms really clean i must say and they made sure you had towels and mosquito repellant body lotion. They had a mini fridge, no microwave or coffee machine. You get 1 complimentary water. Beds are fitted with mosquito net. Bed was comfortable to sleep on Activities 5/10 Apart from the pool they had virtually nothing else to really offer. Most of the other activities were catered towards kids. This place is great for families with younger children. Nightlife 0/10. There was nothing to do at night. By 8pm, everything is pretty much shutdown except for the restaurant and the bar
Ambience 7/10 Driving to the resort worried me it looked like I was driving into a village or militia camp. The surrounding area was not intriguing. The resort itself is small. Living quarters had about 24 rooms. It looked quite native which i liked but there were few attractions. Food 8/10 Taste - Above average. Try the whole fish and if you like pepper ask for the chilli oil. Food wait time - a little long. I had asked for freshly brewed coffee before ordering my main meal. My main meal came out before my coffee was ready. Now I understand that sometimes there are steps to brewing great coffee but over 45 minutes wait? Come on! Customer service & People 9/10 - very friendly and helpful but sometimes lackadaisical. It's almost like there's no urgency. Currency - Your dollar goes far.

SwitzerlandHad to pay the bill for dinner immediately, but they tried to charge again at check-out. On the weekends it's too busy and noisy. They should decide, if they wanna have hotel guests or resort guests. Pool is always super busy, noisy and not much space left to swim. Staff is absolutely not welcoming. Breakfast is available after 08:30 am, not before. It's overpriced! Never again.
