The staff were helpful, and the location is perfect - within walking distance to the night market and Stone Town. The room was clean, and during my stay, I was the only guest there.

I stayed at stone town house and really enjoyed my time there. The hotel is clean and well-kept, with a friendly and helpful staff that made the experience even better. The location is perfect—close to everything you need. I would definitely recommend it if you’re visiting stone town!

Shower place is limited in space.

The staff is super friendly! They helped me negotiating with local parties to have much better prices than the agencies. I could tours directly with local guides (prison island, jozani forest, dolphin snorkeling in kizimkaze). Very good experience!

*Only one small hook on the back of the ladies shower door leaving nowhere to hang things. *The pricing information does not state the 5% card surcharge - this should be clearly stated with the information regarding card payments. *Too much light comes in through the windows making it hard to sleep well. * The electrical points on the beds don't work and not all beds have reading lights.

Not all electrical sockets and light switches work, and there's nothing with which to scrape the water in the showers, making for a bit of a messy bathroom experience.

The staff are lovely and the location is very central. We were disappointed in the extremely small size of the room we originally built, but fortunately the family room was free and we could upgrade for 20 usd a night - and that room was incredible! spacious, great air-conditioning and fans, two assists and toilets - making for an excellent stay.

Central location, need to walk the last 100m to the hotel. Very rustic, but clean. Hired 2 rooms, with private showers. Both rooms were good. The double bed room was small but sufficient. Aircon and fans. Toilets clean, showers with hot water. Only negative were the hard beds and even harder pillows. Staff friendly Coffee and tea available in the hallways.

Simple, quiet hostel in a traditional style house. Very comfortable bed. The host was friendly and very informative. Free tea and coffee. I didn't feel safe on the steep stairs that run throughout the property, I would not recommend for frail or disabled guests as there is no lift. There is no outside area to relax . This is very quiet hostel, not the most sociable if you are looking to meet other travellers .

The owner is the sweetest! It was a pleasure to have known him and talked to him. Our stay was great! We are a family of 4, so we had a big room. There were 3 beds, a sitting area, 2 toilets/ showers. It was perfect for us. There are also 2 ceiling fans and air conditioning in the room. The beds are really comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay in StoneTown and discovered many amazing and surprising things. StoneTown House is a great place to walk around the city. The only thing for you to know (it is mentioned in the description), there is no restaurant in the hotel. However, there are many very close to the hotel. Thank you StoneTown house for the great experience we had! Wish you the best!
