I've enjoyed staying in this hostel!! The owner Cosmas and his lovely wife were so kind, nice, and honest persons. They always tried helping guests and making our stay comfortable. I booked a tour through them and went hike, waterfall, and hotsprings together. They also gave me recommendations in town and even came with me for getting a night bus. I really appreciate their kind attitude and loved them! I'll definitely come back so please do for me good arrangements for the climb Kilimanjaro next time hehe :))

The hostel and the owner are amazing! It’s quiet at night and the property is clean and comfy. The breakfast was also really good. Cosmos offered us to see his local villages and the forest of moshi. Moshi wouldn’t be that great without this hostel!

I booked when I see Adventures hostel. And it’s one of the best adventures I can live in Tanzania. Cosmos was the best person I meet in Tanzania. I make me feel confortable, he saw me the best hidden place in Moshi and Arusha. I also booked a Safari with him for a good price and the organisation was perfect! We had such a nice stay at this accommodation and I would definitely recommend it! The rooms are very cozy, the food is so good and the team is just amazing. The hostel is not directly in the city but it’s a calm and friendly neighbourhood and the drive to the city (about 12min) is cheap and it’s very good to reach. Cosmas (the owner) is such a kind and heartwarming person and tried everything to make sure we felt comfortable and like home. He was like our personal tour guide and showed us everything - villages, local food, the city, beautiful nature places and organised some trips like a Safari. Truly the best hostel experience I’ve ever had, this is so much more than just a place where you sleep. It felt like home and is an experience we will never forget, thank you Rafiki! If you want to really have a local experience in Tanzania - local food, the culture and people, beautiful nature, the language - this is the place to be!

This place is magical Cosmas and his family are wonderfully wonderful and kind-hearted people . A beautiful friendship was born that is why I decided to return a second face after the Safari , Cosmas is a Wikipedia know it all , he is from a tribe in that area and it was interesting to be with him around because he showed me so many things . This accommodation is home and family , if you are looking for that I recommend you go to them .

Staying at Janibichi Hostel was truly an amazing experience. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I was at home. Cosmas and the whole team are incredibly welcoming, friendly, and always makes sure that every guest feels comfortable and cared for. Cosmas has such a pure and kind heart, and his energy really sets the tone for the whole place. The hostel itself has a great vibe—clean, cozy, and full of warmth. The breakfast was a real highlight: big, delicious, and prepared with love. Cosmas also shares wonderful stories and gives great advice about the area, which makes the experience even richer. I couldn’t recommend this place enough—it’s not just a hostel, it’s a home away from home. I've found new friends in that place and will forever stay in my heart. I'll be back !

My stay here has completely shaped my experience in Tanzania, it has been brilliant. From the day I arrived the host Cosmos showed me so much, from local hikes to really good food places. I can’t recommend this hostel enough it is more like a home and Cosmos a good friend.

Cosmos was the best host anyone could ask for. He was probably the kindest and most genuine man I met on my travels. He catered to everything I wanted to do and see. Plus he made a delicious breakfast for me every morning. The hostel/house was located a bit further from town which was nice and quiet, just a cheap tuk tuk ride away from the city center. It's not like a normal hostel but was everything you needed and was safe and comfortable. Cosmos was basically my private tour guide of Moshi, spent the whole day with me site seeing and even holding my hand when I was struggling through some hiking in the mountains, true angel of a human. Would recommend him to anyone who is interested in anything to do with Mt. Kilimanjaro or the area surrounding.

The host is an amazing human being. Really helpful and willing to help as much as he can while knowing when it’s time to give space to his guest. Like he said, he’s like a DJ who try to be as flexible and adaptive as possible. The accommodation is linked to an NGO that has beautiful projects ongoing. And if you want to experience Moshi and its surroundings like a local and with the local price, Cosmos will be here to make it possible. Unbelievable experience!

Everything was perfect,especially it’s good for budget traveler. I’ve been traveling around the world for four months and breakfast here was the best. Cosmos offers you some amazing and fantastic tour that are all affordable price.I really really enjoyed them all. Also,he gave me many opportunities to experience local things that are all unforgettable memories. Without him and his family, I wouldn’t have enjoyed Moshi. I can’t thank them enough.

The breakfast was amazing. Cosmas cooked for us each morning and he was an amazing host. I would definitely recommend staying here. Cosmas is very accommodating and can help you with anything you need. He looked after our bags while we climbed kili. We wish we could have stayed longer here ! He is one of the best hostel hosts out there !
