How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Staff wasn't very friendly and didn't make me feel welcome. I hated the red light in my room that couldn't be turned off.

Verified reviewThe location is good It just next to the Night Market and bus stop. It has a small parking for motorcycle or scooter. Jusy 6mins to Dawan Beach. The staff is good and they can speak a little english. The room and toilet are nice and clean also the water is strong. It has a small refrigerator to keep your cold foods. It has a lot of hanger to use. It has body soap and shampoo.
I think they need a renovation cause the lobby and reception area are a little bit old and should need to clean. In our room there are parts of the floor and the walls are damaged. The electric kettle doesn't have a plug.

If they say NO Parking , it means really NO parking ! Very inconvenient if you have a car ! The room smell bad and wasn’t cleaned properly. The bathroom was moldy and greasy. They don’t follow the 10pm Keep The Noice down policy. Families were booked in on our floor, keeping there doors open - kids running around, screaming. The laundromat service is extremely expensive and twice the price than other places in town. THIS PLACE IS NOT WORTH THE MONEY WE HAVE SPENT ! We lost a days rent money, because we checked out early - Just couldn’t stand the place anymore.
Hi, We don't know why you are having these issues and making you so angry. I knelt down and wiped down every corner of each of our guest rooms with a rag. I don't think other hotels can do that. Our bathrooms are sanitized with bleach Yes. Chinese New Year is of course expensive. Other dates are of course cheaper. You can choose cheap dates to book. We also help you prepare your child's mattress for free. We should charge more for more people, but I didn't charge anything. To park, you only need to tell the boss, and he will help you find a parking space. The quality of passengers varies, and we cannot guarantee passenger behavior. But tell us and we'll stop his behavior. The external washing machine only provides 70 Taiwan dollars for washing, and the tenant will also give free washing powder. Do you think laundry is expensive? What should we say? If you leave this place early, our guest room will also keep your scheduled date and no other people will be sold. This hotel is NOT worth the money they charge. It was extremely dirty (bathroom and bed post). The shower and bathtub were filthy with grime(residue) all over the surface. I asked them if they could please clean it again, but they said it was already cleaned. They came up to look and when when I showed it to them they just said the grime was form their cleaning products (not true). The towel were super old, worn out and stained. We had to end up buying our own towels to use. The pillows has some ash stain on them. I wanted to make myself some tea, but they didn't provide any mugs, only cheap plastic cups. Also they only provided half a kettle. The kettle tray was missing so I couldn't even use the kettle. They couldn't even provide you with decent hangers for your clothes. They have TERRIBLE sound proofing. You could here EVERYTHING. I've stayed in other hotels that face the main street in Kenting and it's quiet in those rooms. Maybe the rooms on the backside of the hotel are more quiet. This hotel is not maintained at all. Don't stay here. It's a waste of money. What a disappointment.
