How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewCheck in was fast. Hotel listened to complaint. Relatively close to MRT stations, pretty convenient.
A bit hard to access, there was not enough signs outside to indicate how to access the hotel. Bathroom smells horrible after being used. Cleanliness is not upheld very well. Not very good noise resistance between rooms. No heater/two-way air conditioner, got really cold at night.

Verified reviewWemeet Hotel is situated less than 10 minutes away from a metro station, which is really want you want in Taipei, the closer the better. The room was comfy and the bathroom spacious enough. You can get water at the reception. The bed is big, perfect for tall people.
The room is very small, because the bed is taking most of the place. We struggled to find place for our two big suitcases. The place is a bit hard to find because the name of the hotel isn't written outside the building (at least not in English!). We also had tea bags and sugar in our room, but no kettle to prepare it, a strange choice!
Thank you very much for choosing to stay at Wemeet Hotel and for taking the time to share your thoughtful feedback. We’re delighted to hear that you appreciated our convenient location near the metro station, the comfort of the room, the spacious bathroom, and especially the large bed — we’re glad it suited your needs well! At the same time, we sincerely appreciate your comments regarding the limited room space, difficulty storing large suitcases, and the lack of English signage outside the building. We understand how this could affect the overall experience and will look into clearer exterior signage and provide better directions for future guests. Regarding the tea bags and sugar without a kettle — thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will review our in-room amenity standards to avoid confusion and ensure that guests can enjoy these items properly, or clearly communicate how hot water can be obtained from reception. Your honest feedback is truly valuable and helps us improve. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back in the future for a more seamless and comfortable stay.

Verified reviewFriendly and helpful staff, eventhough there was a need to use google translate. Strong wifi. Good location, accessible to local transportation. Lots of places to eat nearby.
Towels were not new, several had holes (although they were clean). Cups used were not washed even if the room was cleaned daily (upon request).
Thank you for staying at Wemeet Hotel and for taking the time to share your thoughtful feedback. We’re delighted to hear that you appreciated our friendly and helpful staff, strong Wi-Fi, and convenient location near public transportation and dining options. It's always our pleasure to assist guests, even with the help of Google Translate! We sincerely apologize for the issues you experienced with the towels and the used cups not being cleaned. While we ensure all linens are laundered, worn-out towels should not have been placed in your room, and our housekeeping team should refresh all amenities daily when cleaning is requested. We have already shared your comments with our team to reinforce proper quality control and housekeeping standards. Your feedback helps us improve, and we truly hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again for a better and more comfortable experience.

Mixed feelings about this place. Feels more like a serviced apartment than a hotel, with limited space and a location on the 16-17th floors of a mall. However, the staff are exceptionally friendly, helpful, and fluent in English. A unique experience, but not quite what you'd expect from a hotel.

Verified reviewI was visiting my son and this was in a perfect location, near shops, bus stops and the train station. The room was clean, the bed very large and staff were helpful even though they didn't speak much English and I have no Chinese. I managed to get everthing I wanted, extra towels, more water. Even though you can rent a room for less than a night I felt safe as a solo woman traveller.
The entrance is in a strange place, you have to enter a kind of shopping centre and go up in an elevator to reach the reception. The room was not cleaned daily however I didn't ask about this so perhaps it would have been had I asked. There is nowhere in the hotel to eat however it is near lots of shops so this isn't really an issue.
