The Jasmine Orange B&B is a Japanese style “minsu” originally built in the 1890s of cypress wood, tastefully furnished with unique handmade furniture and updated with all the technology and comforts typical of (or even unavailable from) a 5-star hotel: robo bidet toilet, fogless shaving mirror, hot+cold water dispenser, electronic air cleaner, TVs in every bedroom, etc. The hosts Richard & Wando are true locals and incredibly hospitable. Wando speaks Mandarin, English, French and a little bit of German. She brought us fresh brewed coffee every morning and on the last day, even went out to get bento boxes for our train journey. As well as helping us book restaurant reservations. A+

I stayed in the Juniper House, which has two separate shower + toilet rooms (as the house can sleep up to 8-10). Both shower stalls had a little bit of mildew on the grout, which I felt shouldn't be there if the house cleaners used Tilex or equivalent antifungal and/or bleach spray...simple fix. Also the sinks should really have bar soap in a soap dish for hand washing. The outer sink had a hand soap dispenser on the wall, but neither or the sinks in the toilet + shower rooms had soap available. Again, easy to address. I am really reaching for things to nitpick about, and honestly only mentioning them to help improve future stey.

Beautiful and clean property with a lovely host. There is on-site parking available and convenient food outlets nearby - including a 7-Eleven with indoor seating. The fairly large property has been owned by the host‘s family for generations and features a big courtyard, the host‘s house and the various rooms in separate buildings. We stayed in the large Japanese style room.

The host has stopped offering breakfast due to lack of demand, which is a shame, but understandable.

The property is charming and has an ancient look on the outside but modern in each of the units. We were able to use the bicycles to get around town.

The property is 3.6 miles from the train station and you will need a taxi to get there as there are no buses

Very cosy rooms full of character. Get the Japanese room which can sleep up to 8 people. It has 3 bedrooms and a large dinning and seating area, highly recommended. The owners are very friendly and has cute daughter.

    nothing!
