How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Love the dining services. The food is absolutely great and healthy. Coffee is the best. All staffs are super polite and offered every help I asked.

The TV and its applications are difficult to navigate. Just a handful of local channels.
The room is well kept and the pantry provided was the best I experienced in Taipei City. 3 mins walk to the hotel from Songjiang Nanjing station. If you are adventurous, walk to Zhongsan station happening area is about 15 mins. There are many eateries around Parkview Taipei from morning to night. It is very safe to walk around the area.

Nothing really, however we were a bit unlucky with room 210 where the (noisy) central air-conditioning machines are located just outside the window.
This is an amazing hotel in many aspects, especially given value/price - the interior light-creator deserves a special price - all lights are in total harmony which immediately creates an air of luxury. Rooms are not huge but well planned and comfortable. In a perfect world, the lost space the balcony occupies (can’t even open) should have been used to amplify the room size. And last but not least, the staff… Always available, always friendly and always ready to help with everything. You very quickly get the big family feeling. When we returned to Taipei the second time it was obvious where we would stay. Well done!

It’s still very new so the rooms are in perfect condition and very modern with everything you need. The hotel was also environmentally conscious. Staff were very helpful and quick to respond to requests, I would happily stay again.

The size of the room was smaller than we expected.
The room was very clean and comfortable. We especially like the bidet toilet, the bath tub, and the water filtration machine that help us fill our water bottles. The beds are comfortable too. Staffs in the hotel are extremely friendly and helpful, which we appreciate greatly

Room is smaller than expected so can’t open 2 luggage on the rack but the front desk were fantastic! They were helpful to offer to make reservations and food recommendations. Overall, good stay here.

The room did not feel very luxurious due to the size. For context though, we moved from Eslite and then from Parkview to Swioo within the 10 days we were in Taipei. The price could have been slightly lower if we compare the facility and luxury of the other hotels. Price is about the same with the other two, though it could be because we booked Parkview last minute.
Love the location and hospitality of the staff. The rooms are clean.

There is a soft intermittent sound of machine running in the room. May have come from the roof. It can bother you if you are a light sleeper.
The staff made you feel welcome and went out of their way to answer any query. The location was excellent, close to both MRT and bus stops. Along the walk back from the MRT, there is a 7-11, a Family Mart, a park and a nice coffee shop. To the right of the hotel, there is a local breakfast place called Wang Mama which serves the best turnip cake and pan fried wonton.
