Close too train station and bus routes and taxis. Staff at check in was very friendly and her English was very good!!! Rooms (construction core bunk beds) and facilities were exactly as in photos.. I really liked the card lock system for the entry and the lockers. Was very very quite during our stay, maybe it would be different in a busier time.

The beds were too soft and did not offer much support for my back, did not sleep particularly well.

The place felt cozy, facilities like the toilets and the lobby/common room area were well maintained and clean, and the staff was warm and friendly during check-in and whenever I had questions.

The location is not far from the Train Station and easy to find. Surrounding there are a lot of eatery but for those who can't read chinese would be a great challenge.

Everything! We came here with a group of 16 international students from all around the world. The employees were helpful, kind, accomodating and made us feel very welcome in the Hostel. It was spotless clean, the beds were super comfortable and the lounge was a great hangout spot in the evening! The location is great, only 5 minutes by walk to Hualien Main Station and Hualien Bus Station. Thank you for the great experience, will definitely recommend KID Hualien!

The bunk bed was hard. The lockers were too small, it could hardly fit my 40L backpack. There were only three toilets and one of them was only for males. Cleaning the bathroom should be more regular. The toilets were sometimes nasty and full of things no one would want to see. The showers were nice but there should be more bath rugs so water is not spread all over the bathrooms. Overall, it's an OK hostel for a couple of nights.

Location was excellent, a 5 minute walk to the train station. The room was clean. I loved they provided a shampoo, conditioner, hand soap and a face wash as well as coffee and tea for free.

The room felt quite claustrophobic because of the dark ceiling, the pattern on the wall looked like you were in a holding cell. Biggest issue was the smell though. While the common room is really nice, the entire hostel smells of mold and the air is really damp. I even discovered mold inside of our AC and in one of the corner of our rooms. :(

The staff was nice and the location close to Hualien HSR Station.

It’s quite cramped in the building. Also very strong synthetic fragrance smell in the common areas and hallway, almost suffocating. Our room slept 22 of us, the lockers for luggage is relatively small and our luggage couldn’t fit. A short distance walk from the train station but nothing much to eat around the location. Shops are closed by 7pm so better grab dinner earlier.

The showers and toilets were adequate.
