The only complaint might be the wifi was not that great.

The room was perfect. Just a few seconds walk to the beach and the night market (but away from the noise). The owner was very kind and gave me fruit and rice cakes and more water each day. It was really peaceful!

We chose the cheapest room so it can be mistake to point out this, the room doesn’t have windows and view. Instead of that, we didn’t have to bring heavy luggage up the stairs.

Waterfront, but with a parking lot in between. Spent a fair amount of the time on the balcony. Location close to downtown. Landlord provided some fruit, water and towels for the beach.

I had the budget room. It’s basic but comfortable . The one thing which I did overlook was that there was no window in the room so if that’s important to you then be mindful. I like the accommodation as most of the time I was out and about. Was lucky to get this as there was a big music festival happening just across the road and most accommodation was sold out.

Hot water (in shower) appears dependent upon time of day. No cooking facilities.

Very friendly lady who ran the place gave us fruit and bottled water daily - always welcoming (Chinese speaking only). The room itself was large with a good balcony (view over carpark and down to the town green - beyond that the beach) sofa and integrated toilet and shower units - as well as a 'feature' bath tub. Kettle and fridge - everything worked well.

Very nice owner. Asked me if I really wanted to stay 3 nights when the typhoon is coming, changed it to 2 nights. But then the morning I should leave the weather was already so rough that I preferred to stay. She provided me with food and drinks. Could be no better place to sit out a typhoon in this nice room with the great view (only would be better without the parking place in front) and a few English tv channels. I also got fresh fruit every day and she told me about Eluanbi Park when Kenting National Recreation Park still was closed for cleaning up after the typhoon.

There is no wardrobe or at least storage space for clothes and other things. So you are limited to a handful of hangers next to the front door. The WiFi signal strength is okay, but the bandwidth to the internet is far too low, so that even voice calls via a messenger constantly break off, not to mention video calls. In future, it might make sense to provide drinking water from a water dispenser in the entrance area instead of bottles, as many hotels already do, in order to reduce plastic waste and protect the environment.

I can fully confirm the exceptional kindness and warmth of the hotel owner, which has been described in many previous comments. There is a large plate of fruits in the room on arrival and fruit or small snacks are offered from time to time during your stay. I booked the balcony room with sea view. The room is very spacious and would be big enough for two people with a lot of luggage. The bathtub in the middle of the room gives it a certain style and certainly has a special appeal for couples. On the main street, just a four-minute walk from the hotel, you can get a good and inexpensive breakfast, which you can eat on site or on the balcony of your room. For dinner, there is a night market along the main street as well as numerous restaurants, so there should be something for everyone. The location between the beach and the town centre is therefore ideal. Kenting is also a good starting point for tours to the national park, Hengchun or the southernmost point of Taiwan, preferably on a rented scooter. I would have liked to stay a little longer at the Waterfront Hotel.
