Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

TaiwanThe room we had is very damp. It was a 2 ppl bunk bed and the mattresses are not thick enough. The wall is not thick so you can hear the neighbors walking and talking.

Fantastic location (right next to the Jiaoxi train station), great price, and high quality facilities. The room was clean/cute, with four pod-beds and a sitting area. Bathroom/showers are single-person use and there is plenty of space for luggage storage.

TaiwanThe AC in the room cannot adjust temperature so it was too hot for us. The opening time for the hot spring was short, we had to change our schedule to came back earlier for the hot spring. The filter of the AC is dusty, I do hope they can clean it periodically.
The location is perfect for tourist who took public transportation. The staff was fabulous, they prepared the breakfast for us because we're leaving earlier. They even sent the picture of the breakfast to make sure we took the right one. Btw the bread was delicous. The vibe was comfy and the building equiped with elevator so we don't have to take the stairs with our luggages. The building is super clean but the AC filter is not. The hot spring was magnificent with the view.

MalaysiaLocated right beside the train station and a bus stop that connects to most attraction. Extremely clean and new property with great staffs! Also the place has a rooftop hot spring pool that you could use at night, and it’s got a cute little residential cat! I’ve been to many hostels and this is definitely a top 3 in the list!

Hong KongThe mattress is too soft.
Excellent location, located just across the Jiaoxi train station, staffs are friendly and helpful. Room is clean and comfortable. The hostel offers free breakfast (but you need to clean up yourself). Big LOVE the hostel cat: Oreo. BTW, they have a small shop with exhibition space at the hotel front, great place to get some souvenirs.

SingaporeToilet was a bit cramped (stayed in the dorm).
Right in front of train station. A lot of cozy common spaces to relax at. The common area on the ground floor has a lot of spaces / comfortable seating areas for resting/eating. There are also lockers (medium-sized)(with combi lock) for you to deposit items before checkin / after checkout (only till 5pm). Beds are comfortable. Entire building is decorated nicely - a warm and welcoming vibe. Breakfast spread was good (breakfast 8.30am to 10am). Entry to building is by code during non-working hours or when staff are not available. You need to have the line app and contact them before you reach (specific instructions given after you book). On the day of check-in, they will then send you the door code through the line app.

United KingdomI'm not very keen personally on opening my room with a code rather than a key of sorts, but this is merely a matter of preference.
My room was very big, with an excellent bathroom, especially the shower. Breakfast was generous with various options on offer. The common lounge area was comfortable. Located close to the station.

SingaporeThe toilet was a little small. The flush was leaky and was permanently "flushing".
Breakfast was decent, there was sufficient spread for a hostel. The room was pretty good as well, lighting and bed, with sufficient charging port.

United KingdomBit of a late check-in (4pm).
Very friendly, helpful staff (middle one in the photo, can't remember her name sorry). The spa on the room was a nice touch. Very close to everything and train station. Felt quite social. Met lots of people without much effort. Let us leave our bags and bikes there while we went on a hike to the waterfalls.

SingaporeIt's a hostel but no backpacker hostel vibe. Mostly local taiwanese and they minded their own business and just wanted to socialize with their phones more than anything. If you just want a hostel for it's amenities and location, this is it. Staff are just doing a job to provide info and nothing else.
The place was clean, there was space to dry clothes after washing, breakfast was good and veggies were fresh, right next to train station

Super cute vibe and decor, staff were helpful and friendly, shared kitchen is well stocked (I used it to cut fruit, make instant oats etc), laundry on Lvl 4, plenty of space on both Lvl 1 and Lvl 4 and in the dorm room to chill or work on your laptop, location is right next to Jiaoxi Train Station with plenty of cafes, restaurants and shops around the area.

Singapore-
The hostel was located right infront of the train station and there's a 7-11 around the corner. The room was clean and spacious, the toilets were also clean. The rooftop onsen was nice with a good view. The staff were also really nice and helpful when I was trying to figure out how to quickly get back to Taipei with the typhoon coming. Would love to come back in the future! (: The little cat in the hostel was also really cute! (:

Hong KongNothing as such. It is amongst the top-rated ones among the many outstanding accommodations in Taiwan.
Situated right next to the train station, the whole premise was renovated from an age-old building. It is being properly managed, with every minute detail having taken care of. I appreciate the ample space that everyone gets to share - they even have a neatly designed common area in backpacker's room for guests to relax and chill out, or to work with laptop, if so required. The breakfast choices also exceeded my expectations. It is a perfect place to recharge the body and mind.
