Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe travellers kitchen wasn’t as extensive as hoped. At breakfast it was fine and you could make toast or eat instant noodles. During the rest of the day the provisions were limited to free drinks and tiny cookies. You could sit in there which was lovely and eat your own food, but there was no microwave and the hob to cook your own noodles was out of action. Housekeeping is only every 4 days unless you ring and ask for it, so beds are not made or bins emptied or towels changed unless requested. I think it should be changed to every 2 days for bins and towels.
It was cheaper to book with booking.com than direct which meant we upgraded to an Executive suite. This was huge. Beds comfy, bath and shower in room. Location is outside of city, but hotel is only minutes from metro via a 7 eleven store, so you can pick up drinks etc on your way past. Room had a kettle and fridge. Nice toiletries provided. Great value. Staff have very limited English but try hard. Some restaurants nearby.

BelgiumThe hotel is located in New Taipei but there is metro near by the hotel. The staff is really helpful and during our stay they had some airco maintenance but we didn't mind. Second floor is great where big kite is located is great, free coffee pastries in the morning.

United StatesWe love the location, which is near the MRT, making it very convenient to go anywhere in Taipei. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They are always ready to help any time of the day. The travels kitchen is awesome, it's open 24 hours, equipped with coffee machine, juice machine and all types of snacks. The room is big and the beds are comfortable. There is also a big bathtub. There is also a laundry room free of charge! and massage service is reasonable priced. Overall, we are very happy with the Via Hotel Breeze. We would like to come back if we visit Taipei again.

SingaporeThe steam room/sauna in the toilet was not working (I was told that the hotel was undergoing some repair works on the sauna system) but this was hardly an inconvenience.
Via Hotel Breeze is a fantastic option for anyone looking to stay in Taipei! It is highly value for money, with extremely spacious rooms and even a personal jacuzzi in the toilet. My family and I also thoroughly enjoyed the traveler's lounge which was conveniently available 24/7 and well stocked with snacks, drinks and also provided a breakfast option in the mornings! Although the hotel might not be located within the busy districts of central Taipei, it certainly provided a nice break away from the busy crowds and with a nearby MRT station available, I never once felt too far away from the main city area.

So far one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in Taipei, including the ultra expensive 5+ star variety. A bit out of the city center, but still close to the MRT. Extremely good deal for anyone.

AustraliaSome dusts came through the AC vent that triggered my cough a bit at night.
The 2-double bed room was spacious and bright, with complimentary snack included. Most notably, the interior decor is thoughtfully arranged with a focus on good design.

PhilippinesFree breakfast with snacks and late night food available. They also have free self-service laundry but I didn't use it as I only stayed for 4 nights. I didn't really look into the rooms as we were booking last minute but the rooms have a jacuzzi and steam room. AC very cold, 3 minute walk to the MRT station. While it's not central Taipei, it's a really good area to stay in

PhilippinesThe only thing that was not great was the WiFi for it was really slow for streaming on my IPad.
The location was really close to the metro and the hotel is really clean and the ability to wash your close at the hotel is a big plus for free. Plenty of places to eat around the hotel and you can reserve transportation to the airport when ready to leave.

Singaporeit's just a little further from the main attractions, but for the comfort and convenience (near a train station), we felt it was worth it.
Incredible value for money, for the space and facilities. Super useful to have free laundry and snacks available throughout the day.

MalaysiaThere is nothing to hate, they even provide late night snacks which makes the stay even greater!
Overall everything was good! Only downside would be the location that is a little out of the central location, but still accessible by train or bus.

PhilippinesLoved the spacious room, bathroom amenities, and 24/7 travelers lounge. Bed, pillows, linens were clean and comfortable too. The little massage machine was a nice touch, perfect after a day of walking around. We also really appreciated that they let us store our bicycles in a secure location. Would prefer having more closet space though!

SingaporeThe jacuzzi bathtubs was too dirty so I didn't bother to use but the showerhead were strong and good. The bathroom was huge and comfortable. You can't expect much from a old hotel but I suggest they have a super thorough clean of their bedroom carpet.
Free breakfast so I ordered takeaway and ate at their level 2 self help dining area. Their bathroom was huge and comfortable which comes with automatic bidet, though the jacuzzi bathtub was really too dirty to begin with. My boy was very sick, vomiting and diarrhea so the toilet was great.

PhilippinesIt could use a little addition of towel/clothes rack in the bathroom but nothing too major.
Great location, peaceful most of the time but has enough food places, convenient stores, and a 3min walk from the metro. I love their bathroom with heated toilet seats, steam bath, and fully functional bathtub. Best part is free food and drinks. nothing fancy but the basics to get you going throughout the day.
