How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewWow I don’t even know where to start!!!! Two home Inn was incredible. Location was perfect, the room was super clean and the kids loved the slide. But what made it even better was the owners/staff. They treated us like family and we will be forever grateful for their hospitality and kindness. Thankyou so much for having us.
Nothing at all.

Verified reviewThe view is the real deal here and I loved it. There is no too much functionality in the room not even a shelf, it desinged for short stay I guess.
It was noisy, my room was on 3rd floor and I heard my neighbours upstairs and kids in the breakfast area were very loud in early morning what I heard in my room as well.

Verified reviewThe unbeatable panoramic seaview from my balcony and room. I came for this and it was up to my expectation 100% (because it was sunny). Still pretty romantic though I was travelling solo. The room was spacious, clean and modern. The buffet breakfast was surprisingly good.
No. I will come back.

Verified reviewThe staff were fantastic! They made every effort to communicate with me ahead of my stay and during my stay. The staff were friendly and genuinely concerned that I had a great stay. It was the best feeling!.... They were very helpful when we wanted to get train tickets to our next destination. The woman at the desk used her personal account to reserve train tickets for us to purchase at the local 7-11 store. The property was wonderful. Just a block from the night market. Rooms had ocean views. We stayed in a family room meant for kids... It had a slide in it. Loved it!... The rooms and property were very clean. Breakfast in the morning was always welcoming. I can't wait to go back and stay there again!
N/A - There wasn't anything we didn't like about this property. It was great!

Verified reviewThe hotel offers stunning sea views, making every moment breathtaking! The rooms are spacious, and one of the family rooms we booked even has a slide—such a fun feature, perfect for Instagram! Each room was spotlessly clean, and the bathrooms were impeccable. The owner and staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Every aspect of the hotel’s operation seemed thoughtfully designed with guest relaxation in mind. Our group of five, staying in two family rooms, unanimously gave the hotel a perfect rating. Although we couldn’t visit Taroko due to ongoing post-earthquake restoration, we look forward to returning soon! We will definitely choose Two Home Inn when we return.

Verified review* Really nice slide in the room * Plenty of Power-Sockets * Perfect parking-spot in front of the accommodation * Good location
* No baby-cot * No high chair for little kids * Medium Breakfast
Thank you for your review. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay at our B&B. The restaurant provides high chairs for children, but there happened to be too many children dining at the same time, so there were not enough high chairs. I'm sorry for that. Welcome to visit Hualien, Taiwan again, thank you.

Verified reviewThe hosts are adorable. They don't speak English but this is no problem as technology fills in the gaps. They grow their own vegetables for breakfast, which are really tasty. You have to leave your shoes downstairs and are given slippers for use on the upper floors. Location is great. Close to the night market. Air conditioning is very good in the room.
Well the photo on Booking.com is of an upper floor with a large balcony. We were on floor two where the view of the sea is limited. Not such a problem for use as we were out until late evening each day, and besides it was too hot to sit on the balcony. I think there are four floors in total. We couldn't figure out the system for the toilet as there is a warning on the wall not to flush anything down the toilet, even toilet paper. Infact they don't provide toilet paper. I even looked for three shells, like Sylvester Stallone in Demolition Man, but could only find a powerful hose by the side of the toilet.

Verified reviewOur stay at Two Home Inn was truly special. Firstly, the room was virtually spotless–you can tell that the staff take their time cleaning the room. Service was detailed, attentive, and warm; we felt very comfortable right from the get-go. Additionally, on slower weekdays, the wonderful owner delivered delicious breakfast to our doorstep. On weekends, the breakfast spread is great and gives you a taste of what locals eat in the morning. The thing that stood out the most for us during our stay was how accommodating everyone was; they went out of their way to make us comfortable. The staff called taxis for us, replenished our water, and when we made a trip out to Taitung, they kept our luggage for two days! After we came back, we stayed in a different room. Both rooms we stayed in had a great view and were very clean. Just a note: don’t mind some of the staff looking/staring at you. The owner, who is a former special education teacher, employs some individuals with disabilities, which we, as a special needs family ourselves, greatly appreciate. Overall, Two Home Inn was the most memorable and comforting place we stayed at throughout our two week trip to Taiwan, and we will definitely be coming back. If you are visiting Hualien, you must stay here!
