Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesWashing machines were always full. There aren’t more bed options. Just the king or 2 twins. As a family of 6, it wasn’t easy having 3 rooms to bounce around.
The views were great but the location to the train and bus and accessible to anywhere was absolutely the highlight.

Hong Kongnothing.
1. Location: very close to Songshan train station and MRT subway. Walking distant to Raohe night market. 2. Clean and spacious. The room has almost everything we need: coffee machine, kettle, sockets near bed etc. 3. Staffs are helpful and friendly.

Although it seemed a bit away from everywhere, a mall is attached to the hotel where you can do some shopping and also with lots of restaurants. Subway is just below the mall so also easy to access to other places. Room size and layout is very good. The hotel is with walking distance to night food market as well as clothes wholesale market.

Hong KongYou’ll need to take the lift to 17/f and then change to another lift to get to your floor.
We stayed in Room 2122 and we had a lovely view of Taipei 101. Room was spacious. Had a hairdryer. Open wardrobe area. Tea and coffee. Separate shower and toilet. We didn’t use the gym or dine at the restaurant. The service was friendly and helpful. Good value for money. Quiet area. Not much foot or road traffic in the area. Easy to call Uber to head out to where you want to go or take the metro from the station opposite. There’s a cafe on the ground level as you enter the building and a Family Mart across the road. The night market at Raohe Street is within walking distance.

AustraliaThe signage for the shuttle bus was not visible and the reception should have told all their hotel guests when they checked in.
2. I have conducted research on Amba Taipei especially viewing the YouTube, reading reviews on many website I decided to book this hotel in booking.com. I was highly impressed with its clean and comfortable rooms and additional facilities. The laundry room was top notch clean and you have all the necessities for your laundry, dryer was excellent too. 3. The secure and safe environment of this hotel and the best hotel that is close to the shopping centre and the train station. This will be part of our family hotel to stay in whenever we visit Taiwan again.

SingaporeThe room is clean and all the staff are very friendly. The hotel is conveniently located opposite the train station and the room is very spacious. There is a mall with restaurants, etc opposite the hotel and a family mart at the downstairs of the hotel. I would stay at this hotel again if I visit Taipei again next time.

United KingdomThe room was smaller that we realised and there was no drawer space. As we stayed for five nights we could not put our clothes away so lived out of our suitcases which was not ideal. There were a couple of shelves and a few hangers but it would have been better to have more wardrobe facilities.
Good location as easy for MRT (subway) stop. The room had a great view of 101. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was perfect. The toiletries were great. The breakfast selection was also great with lots of choice. The temperature was spot on and easily controlled through the system.

ThailandI found the breakfast to be quite underwhelming. The food was rather tasteless and lacked variety, which was disappointing given the price."
The location is excellent. It's very convenient to get around, even though it's not in the city center. It's close to the subway station, and there are markets nearby. It's also easy to walk or bike to various places.

AustraliaI always get lost as we book 3 different rooms and it seems the direction sign is not clear enough to find the room easily.
The breakfast is good and many variety foods were provided. The hotel is very clean and the bed is so comfy. I like the laundry room that we can do the washing. It is a very nice place to stay.

AustraliaI wish there is a bidet (Japanese style toilet) as all of the other hotels we stayed in Taiwan had one.
Great location just across from SongShan MRT station, very convenient , close proximity to the famous Raohe night market and Wufenpu Shopping district. There is a 24-hour Japanese restaurant which is great if you wanna grab very early or late night meals. The room was well equipped with attention to details, clean, modern and spacious. We also love the interior of the hotel and room. Those lovely furniture definitely set this hotel apart from the rest (of similar class).

SingaporeOnly a door separates the bathroom from the bedroom (no walls), so it might be awkward using the toilet if you are not close to your roommate.
Proximity to the MRT station and Raohe night market. There was also sufficient space in the room since the bathroom sink area opens right into the bedroom.

Brunei DarussalamMinus one mark for the toilet situation. As there is a huge gap above the glass door and the ceiling to the toilet, be prepared to get intimate with the smell of anyone that is staying with you, including the smell of your own excretion to permeate and linger in the room for a while. I would also appreciate it if they could have a manual or automated Japanese bidet toilet. I would say that is the biggest downfall of the room I stayed in.
The room I booked had a stunning view of Taipei 101 and the city skyline. The room was also super super clean and furnished with high quality furniture and material. The room was also very spacious. I love the free to take home flip flops as well as the other room amenities. The lobby was clean, spacious, airy and inspiring with photogenic nook and crannies left right and center. The hotel was also in a nice neighbourhood near to the riverbank and Raohe night market as well as directly in front of Songshan Station. Overall, an unexpectedly pleasant part of town to stay in a high quality hotel.
