Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwitzerlandThe hotel has a strange vibe, if I was a solo female traveller I would avoid it. There is a very strong odour in the room. The hotel staff has no autonomy in making bookings, all bookings need to be done online which was a bit strange…the breakfast area is guarded by big birds which are chained which is really hard to process (and a bit scary too), if there is a reason for them to be there nobody explained it to us…also everyone is seated so closely together even though there is so much space. All the seating areas are unnecessarily overflowing with tables and chairs, its not very cozy. The rooms look exactly like on the pictures, nothing has ever been updated but everything is in good condition. One thing that is not in good condition at all is the gym - if this is important to someone I would recommend choosing a different hotel. My friend couldn’t find the lights, there are broken machines and it looks like nobody has worked out in years. Also the spa which seems to consist of a broken pedicure chair and a manicure table is questionable - I would avoid booking a treatment. On the positive side, the beach is is just beautiful with really nice palm trees nicely distributed with enough shade. Also the dive center on the property is great and they had accommodated my request very spontaneously.
Good location and very nice beach. Dive center is on the property and the garden is very well maintained and taken care of.

United KingdomThe hotel is old and the rooms badly need refurbished. Shower would only allow cool water through and bathroom fittings were very tired. General infrastructure around the hotel works, but is aging. I'm really not convinced it is worth the premium charged.
The location is great with its own private beach and lagoon. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food okay but not great. Diving facility right on site is very convenient.

United StatesOverall hotel staff were great, friendly, and exhibited customer service. The masseuse did not for a massage that cost about $100 U.S. Massage is about energy exchange, the woman never introduced herself, asked me about what areas I wanted her to focus on or level of pressure. She just didn’t seem happy to be there. When I shared info with her, she never acknowledged it. When she worked on my face, she slathered the same oil all over it, body oil is generally not same stuff you use for the face because it can clog pours given sensitivity of skin on the face. When she was done, she just walked out the room and said nothing, I didn’t know she’d left. My mistake was to tip her which she didn’t acknowledge or even say thank you. This is not someone you want working at this level of place on people who are vacationing. Frankly wanted to take a shower afterwards to wash away her energy.
Views from balcony, private beach, peace and quiet.

Trinidad and TobagoThe food was awful. The pillows were too small The menu was not that of Tobago. Who has tomato Choko with whole tomatoes? How can you serve bar be Que chicken for dinner and lunch? Food needed for variety and the Caribbean taste. Food was very bland. Dinner should start at 6 not 7 I paid for all inclusive and could even get a sandwich or fries at 3-7pm.
I only liked the lagoon.

Trinidad and TobagoVery dated, items like glass table in the room was broken, shower fixtures broken maintenance tried to fix it but the water was either too hot or too cold, not enough sockets (had the exact same issue the last time I stayed no where to plug the kettle in) wifi signal weak. There were ants in the room and my son left with several bumps on his back from being bit.
The beach, food and "some" of the hotel staff ..exceptional service from Ms. J.Jones at reception

United StatesI would have preferred more options for breakfast food. For example, hash browns, sausages, cheese & cooked mushrooms etc.
Breakfast was alright. Nothing special. In another words, its comparable to a Holiday Inn breakfast (Yes, they had a omelet station but other than that, I would preferred a Denny's breakfast. Not 4 star hotel breakfast

Trinidad and TobagoThe facilities could be better. Too dated. The lobby could be more attractive. Too gloomy. Where are the local artifacts, music, flowers, birds, carnival costumes. They really suffered during covid. The buffet is also not a buffet and food was not value for money.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The beach and pool was lovely. The entire facility was extremely clean.

Trinidad and TobagoFound that the breakfast selection was limited to four items only; it was served a la carte and not buffet style. Dinner was disappointing. We ordered pork ribs: ribs were slightly burnt on the outside and undercooked on the inside. The dinner menu was also limited. Customer service at dinner felt like we were tolerated. Also, there are no elevators, a humbug when you have luggage.
Nice location right next to the beach. Peaceful surroundings. Facilities were being maintained daily. Nice Gym. Friendly staff. not much else was great.

United KingdomI found bird poop at breakfast on my plate as there are birds constantly flying in, the selection is pretty poor and the quality is really low. Rooms are old and beds are old. Staff seems very unhappy
Location and beach are lovely, there are constantly loud seagulls from sunrise to sunset, however it seems to be the best place to stay in Tobago and you can walk from the airport

United StatesThe rooms smelled old like there was mold, the was no mix of hot and cold water only hot or cold in the shower and there was absolutely no water pressure it was extremely slow. The air condition wasn’t cooling. One of the path where we had to pass to get to the room smelled like a sewer.

CanadaThe mix-up with the booking - I feel completely ripped-off. I booked 2 double queen rooms for 4 adults and 4 kids. The kids were aged 8, 12, 12 and 17. I was told that the 12 year old kids were considered adults.
The breakfast was good - plenty of selection and made to order eggs. The beach is obviously very nice and chill.
