The property is very well maintained with an air of luxury the bedroom we had was large with a very comfortable bed lovely bathroom and a balcony looking over the pool and with a sea view There was plenty of varied choices of places to eat and the service and food was excellent All the staff were very friendly and helpful the reception booked two tours for us to see the local sites of interest with a very good guide called Lambjed who I would recommend Apart from the lovely pool area there is access to a private beach where you can sunbathe and swim in the med We liked the hotel very much and would be happy to return

United StatesThis was an absolutely amazing hotel- it felt authentic but also safe. The staff was exceptionally delightful and diligent-including Khalid who sat me for breakfast every morning and remembered my coffee order each day. The spa services at the hotel were also great-l especially enjoyed the Roman bath experience, which felt both authentic and relaxing. The beach services were also quite nice, particularly because of the towel service and the security present, which made my day at the beach feel both quite relaxing. As an American traveler, I found the hotel experience to be equivalent to such more posh and authentic version of a resort in Mexico. I also really liked the tour guide the guide the hotel recommended, Lakhal Lotfi, who seriously knows everything about the history of Tunisia, especially Carthage. I think a tour with him is a must for any lover of global history.

GermanyWe wanted to spend a couple of days on the beach after exploring Tunis' Medina...and decided to go for The Residence instead of The Four Seasons, trusting the reviews on booking.com and trip advisor. And we are so happy we did! The Residence may not be a modern design superstar. But it more than makes up for it with incredibly kind and attentive staff, well kept and super clean facilities and an overall relaxed and peaceful atmosphere. Loved the beach and pool and spa. Easy to get to Karthago, Sidi Bou Said and chic La Marsa restaurants. Highly recommend!!

United KingdomVery disappointed with the Tunisian Restaurant - we has to return 2 main courses tick with oil and overcooked Spinach that tasted of stewed tea. They refunded these 2 meals but the food was expensive for the quality. Pool - Pool staff ignored the noise of 2 young Tunisian children (aged under3) making loud noise and one screaming when his water wings got trapped under the handrail into the pool. No parent present and no pool attendant came either. Surely the main deep pool is for adults? All guests at the left far side of the pool suffered their noise full mornings. Their parents were present and showed no respect for yhr other guests. There are 2 pools for small children. Thankfully our holiday then ended.
Excellent buffet breakfast. Lots of choice from European breakfast foods and Tunisien sweet and savoury breakfast treats.

The relaxation area around the spa was lovely. All the staff were incredible - from front desk to restaurants to spa. Pool was closed outdoors and it was cold for the beach but I'm sure it's fantastic in summer. My room was gorgeous.

The Residence Tunis is hands down one of the best places I've ever stayed. The hotel is stunning — beautiful architecture, peaceful vibes, and right by the sea. The rooms are super comfortable and stylish, with great views and all the little luxury touches. The staff is incredible: friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. The food is also delicious (don’t miss the Tunisian dishes). It's the perfect spot to relax and recharge. Whether you're here for a romantic escape or just some serious chill time, this place nails it. Can’t recommend it enough! 5 stars all the way.

The spa was also nice, but I loved especially the lobby dining, the live music, and the most artistic and zen looking turtle pool. What I didn't like was the limited time in the spa for kids, and the unavailability of the outdoor pools.
