How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewExtremely friendly staff! Bechir went above and beyond to ensure our pre-booked rooftop dinner happened smoothly. Ali was a fantastic host—warm, professional, and welcoming throughout the entire evening. Their outstanding service truly made our stay / experience special!
While the overall experience was memorable, the hotel could benefit from more attention to detail when it comes to cleanliness and maintenance. I understand the challenges of operating at the edge of the Sahara Desert, but from a 5-star property, you'd expect a more flawless presentation. There were some noticeable marks on windows and tables, light stains on the upholstery, and signs of early wear and tear throughout the building, outdoor furniture —even though the hotel is relatively new. A bit more upkeep would truly elevate the experience to match the high standard of service provided by the staff.

Verified reviewThis place sets the bar high for Tunisia - and proved to be the best accommodation we had in the entire country. You pay for this, of course. The individual villas (50 of them!) are gloriously spacious, superbly decorated and equipped, and with an oversized bathroom that needs to be seen to be believed. The staff were attentive and friendly, and accommodated our request to move to a villa closer to the pool and restaurant. The enture place has been designed with luxury in mind. The only cautionary note - management needs to watch, as already, less than 2 years after opening in December 2023, there are small signs of fraying at the edge. No big things yet - a few dead or dying palm trees, broken bricks on the side of footpaths etc. But, given the price, these little things can lessen one's overall assessment.

Verified reviewThe mixture between the beauty of the south landscape of Tunisia and the luxurious well equipped villa is breathtaking. . the intimicy of the place combined to the beautiful touch of care of the whole staff working there... the breakfast was various and awesome. the services including the spa were of high quality.. in one word a pride for the region and we highly recommend it.
Our stay came to an end after three nights, which is so sad.. hopefully we will be back for a longer stay :) see you next time!

Verified reviewThe hotel is beautiful and very peaceful. The spa was excellent after a long travel day and good value. My only complaint was a bad smell in the room that may have been from the plumbing. The food was excellent, especially the couscous with dates and nuts.

We stayed here before going into the desert and wish I had booked additional nights to properly enjoy the pool, the spa, etc...
