United KingdomOur only gripe was that the pool was a bit small for the number of guests- it was impossible to get a sun bed unless you ‘claimed’ one before breakfast which everyone else seemed to do.

United KingdomI loved this hotel but a few areas for improvement would be perhaps another pool built. The snack bar didnt have much variety during the day in between meals. There was not much selection of drinks at the pool car like cocktails. I was given a complimentary bottle of wine on arrival but no bottle opener or Cork screw and couldn't find one anywhere. These are minor things to be honest but little areas that could be improved
I came here after a very bad experience with another hotel. Occidental sousse saved the day! I booked in here for 5 days to get away from the other hotel (stayed in another good hotel on the Sunday) when we arrived the Occidental upgraded us to room with sea view. The restaurant was great lots of selection on all Inclusive, the service was amazing in the restaurant, the entertainment by the pool all day was amazing and in the evening, it was an amazing atmosphere....

LibyaWhat I didn't like was that the elevator was very weak. Please fix it because during peak times, it will cause boredom.
The garden was wonderful, and the staff were smiling and kind. The process was smooth, and the beach was even more beautiful. And I can't forget the food—it was delightful, and I haven't tasted anything like it in any other hotel.

Tunisia1/ To start up this is not our first marhaba hotel to try : we've been in better marhaba facilities. 2/ Reception is friendly 3/Room is quite clean and good view but too much noise and poor maintenance 4/Food varieted and good 5/Swimming pool 🏊 and covered pool good 👍 To sum up, it was a good journey in general but there are better Marhaba facilities with the same price such as Marhaba beach and marhaba royal salem in Sousse both. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

United KingdomIt's a very large hotel and has a few rough edges that could do with lick of paint to spruce them up, but that in no way lessened our enjoyment there! Cocktails on the All Inclusive weren't great and I'd have happily paid for a decent Pina Colada 😉
Set within gorgeous gardens and stretch of beach! Amazing view from the room balcony! The selection and quality of the meat-free food at lunch and dinner was brilliant! Super friendly and efficient staff ❤️

United KingdomA bit dated. I’d say it’s 4.5 star for Tunisia but if this was in another country it would be 3 star. Lots of food options but it’s the same food every day. The snacks are left overs so would be nice to get fresh things during the day.
Lots of space. Wheelchair accessible everywhere, ramps are steep but they’re fine, and there’s lifts. Multiple bars on site, including a indoor shisha bar. Cash point and money exchange service on site. Great shop onsite. The staff were happy to help with everything we needed!

United KingdomMy second stay at the hotel and it was great. The location is good, walkable from local shops and restaurants and also about 40mins walk to the medina. You can also get taxis/bolts. The hotel itself is really nice and comfortable. The meal options are buffet style and there are plenty of dishes, local and international to choose from. There is an onsite Spa and indoor pool - I used them on my last visit and both were great. Ms Aicha was great and my room was super clean. Staff in general are friendly and some are helpful - I did find initially, I would get ignored or would have to wait longer as I was assumed to be a local or maybe not 'western' looking. Which is completely outrageous - all guests should be treated the same. I also got stopped repeatedly at the main gates while exiting and entering the main compound to show my hotel bracelet - I do appreciate the security measure in place to keep us all safe but would expect everyone entering and exiting is treated the same. The WIFI works perfectly at the hotel, if you were looking to work it would be good.

GermanyWhile my stay at the Occidental Sousse was overall very pleasant, I did notice that some of the furniture seemed a bit old and could use an update. However, this didn't take away from the comfort of my stay, as everything else was well-maintained.
I had a wonderful stay at the Occidental Sousse Hotel. What stood out the most for me was the cleanliness throughout the entire hotel. The staff was incredibly kind and always willing to assist with everything, from the bellboy helping with our bags to the room, to the receptionist and the housekeeping staff. A special and heartfelt thanks to Mr. Habib at the reception for his exceptional service and kindness. Additionally, I would like to give a huge thanks to Madam Dorra for her artistic work in cleaning and decorating our room—it truly made our stay extra special! A big thanks to Mr. Habib at the reception for his warm hospitality, and a huge thank you to Madam Dorra for going above and beyond with her cleaning and decorations, making our stay so comfortable—especially for my baby boy, ensuring the floor was always clean for him to crawl on, and even helping with extra cleaning for his diapers.

I forgot my bag in the room and when my brother came back there they said the rooms are cleaned and checked and there is no bag there. This was nonsense because when my father came and he said the back has to be there they checked another time and the bag was there. So if we didnt pressure them we would lose mu back with eveything in it

FranceI was disappointed to notice a clear disparity in how the staff of the restaurant and the bar, treated European tourists compared to those of tunisian and/or Arab descent. Initially, they welcomed me warmly, assuming I was European. However, the moment they realized I was tunisian, their demeanor shifted to one of rudeness. It's disheartening to experience such a bias, even so i'm a tunisian living in France. They clearly have instructions to be especially nice to just European tourists... We booked a triple room but were given a double, with an extra bed added. This made the room quite cramped and difficult to move around in.
The receptionist that welcomed me and my family, was very friendly and welcoming (tall with glasses), The food was outstanding, espagnol authentic traditional food , and I was especially impressed with the housemaid, Dorra, who was not only exceptionally thorough in her cleaning but also warm and welcoming, always with a smile. The animation team was excellent, with special mention to Malik, Taher and the Afro-dance instructor, who brought so much energy and fun. The hotel itself has a wonderful atmosphere, well-lit and luxurious, with beautiful green spaces. I appreciated the abundance of complimentary activities, including volleyball, water polo, Zumba, and archery. The pool was fantastic, and I loved that the beach was just a short stroll away.

QatarThe surrounding of the swimming pool should be cleaned every couple of hours. The timing for dinner should be extended by an hour. Closing at 9PM is not fit for all customers.

BelgiumNot enough umbrellas at the pool for everyone - people are reserving them before 7 am! Afterwards not possible to have an umbrella. One couple told me they paid staff to reserve their umbrella every day. No towels at the pool after 2 pm. Dirty towels at the pool! (every time, not an exceptional case). The towels in your room are taken at 10 am and given back to you at 5 pm - never seen such a system... The restaurant is dirty (glasses, plates, chairs), the service in the restaurant is bad and messy.
We liked the hotel's beach very much (however the sea is dirty), as well as the entertainment at the pool. We also liked the indoor pool (however it needs some cleaning and renovation). Some staff at the reception are very nice. Food is very good and versatile (the restaurant dirty).
