How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified review"Did you know Kelibia Beach is rated #7 in the world?" Every taxi driver here in Kelibia will proudly ask that question. And it IS truly stunning. The best water clarity ANYWHERE in the Mediterranean ,exceeding even Mallorca's best calas. Dreamy swimming conditions.Unfortunately, there's not much else in this town, apart from the historic Fort and famous Madera winery-unlike beach towns of Hammamet,Sousse,Monastir and Mahdia ,which have fascinating medinas/old towns to explore, albeit with seawater of a much lesser quality. This hotel itself does a good job. Classic low-rise horseshoe configuration gives every room at least a lateral view of the shimmering sea,and each room has a terrace as big as the room itself. Room is large with dated furniture , and bedspread but has efficient, modern bathroom. The hotel lobby is opulent with domed ceiling ,marble floors and elegant oversized furniture. The staff, especially at front desk ,is cheerful and helpful. There are 3 huge pools including an indoor one. Excellent wifi coverage.Well kept hotel grounds. Good beach beds. Pleasant beach staff.
The big disappointment for me was the dining room . And buffet food quality. Offerings at breakfast were very meager, and lunch was little better. Both resembled a a high school canteen -with tons of minors. Dinner food quality was much better.Buffet was set up outside, with a sea view.Very good music(solo singer,or saxophone,or guitar, etc). In fairness to the hotel, the sign near the entrance says "4 stars"-and that is what it is. So long as you're not expecting 5 stars -it's an excellent place .Mainly Tunisian families and Italian families . I think I was the only solitary traveler. Massive low rise construction is taking place at one end of the beach, far from the hotel.I hope it becomes the hotel that Kelibia deserves.

Verified reviewThe property was very nice , my kids loved the indoor and outdoor pool and the beach is amazing but its very hard to find an empty spot.
I didn't like that they are not organized in the spa i paid for a service that i never got because the lady took so long to do my eyebrow so her boss started fighting with her because another costumer is waiting and they asked me to come back another day , they never refund anything and i never went back . Second thing i didn't like is that you have to get a receipt every day before dinner to go get dinner and they will let you know where to stay i found that very annoying .

Verified reviewThe staff were all friendly and welcoming. We stayed half board and the dinner buffet on both nights was outstanding. The indoor and outdoor pools were big, and the beach was clean and well kept. Lots of hotel security presence patrolling the hotel day and night. Another review mentioned that no burkinis were allowed however this is certainly not true, all swimware was allowed. A mixture of guests but mainly Tunisia and Italian. Lots of Italian guests, and the animation team provided evening entertainment for the Italian guests who booked with Veratours who operate out of the hotel.
Upon check-in were were told they had upgraded us from the quadruple room we booked to a suite, the suite however certainly did not feel or look like an upgrade. It was very dated, fridge door hanging off and the views were miserable. Please see photos. One side looked out onto an active building site, and the other although beach facing looked directly onto a maintainence area where at 7.30am staff began to hammer together sunbeds. Another thing to mention is if you close the balcony door while outside, which we did one evening to avoid bugs gettng in, it locks and you can't get back in. The area around the hotel isn't great, so if you don't have a car and would like somewhere with things going on nearby then this might not be fore you. Finally, there were a few animal enclosures we kept encountering inside the hotel, a couple with rabbits and another with birds in, see photo. Not sure how I felt about these, the animals looked content but the enclosures were grubby and smelt. I would say these are not necessary for the hotel to have.

Verified reviewThe staff was welcoming and helpful in explaining the area and hotel. The staff at the pool were also lovely and calm. We felt well taken care of. Beautiful views.
The bed was hard but that seems common in Tunisia.
