Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyBeautiful traditional house in the heart of the medina, tastefully decorated and in a strategic position. The room was lovely, functional and clean. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was traditional and different every morning, truly excellent. There is a very interesting boutique inside the Dar with traditional Berber objects. The staff is very kind and helpful, in particular young Ouassime was always ready to help and give us useful advice, he is a very professional young man.

Czech RepublicTo get there, you need to walk through unpleasant souk and are sometimes harassed by hustlers. Also it is a little bit overpriced in my opinion

United StatesOur shower was slow-draining, but otherwise, everything worked very well in this beautiful old dar.
This dar hotel is beautiful! The amazing breakfast in the courtyard was a highlight each day. The resident cats and turtle, Speedy, are wonderful. The location is in the medina, but only a 5-10 minute walk from main roads where you can get a taxi, find an atm, etc. The AC was great, too. We would stay here again!

MalaysiaThe bathroom could do with more countertop space or hooks for towels/clothes. Room could also use a couple more power points and more comfortable sofas to sit. Otherwise, all good.
Location in medina was good, and the hotel was actually very quiet. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff, especially Eveline, were all lovely.

United KingdomThere was nothing I disliked about the hotel which is rare for me, all my concerns became a distant memory. The street vendors in the main Medina were overwhelming at times, I was determined not to allow them to spoil my holiday.
The staff were friendly yet professional, they were aware the atmosphere after 9pm was unsavory and offered a guardian to meet our party just outside the center to take us back to the hotel. That aspect of the service was 10/10 At breakfast, each day they provided a different meal to start the day on a positive note. 10/10 The room s were decorated to a high standard 10/10

United KingdomThere is nothing we did not like though some people may not like the early call to prayer from the nearby mosque. It did not bother us at all.

United KingdomIt is in the heart if the medina and some of the sellers in and around can be a bit forceful, you can ask the staff at the hotel to walk you through the medina and they do so willingly.
The layout is absolutely stunning, so authentic and regal! The staff looked after us with such care and love. Walked us to and from the medina at night. The breakfast was different everyday and it was beyond divine! We loved the food it is the best we have ever had anywhere we have ever stayed. Highly recommend this amazing hotel in the media.

United Arab EmiratesThe noisy in room refrigerator so I just unplugged it.
This charming guest house is perfectly situated, offering both convenience and character. Its quirky, whimsical decor gives it a unique personality that makes it feel like a true hidden gem. The resident cats and kittens are an absolute delight—adorable, affectionate, and always ready to brighten your day. But the real standout? The breakfast! Every morning brought a delicious spread that easily became the culinary highlight of my entire trip. A truly memorable stay from start to finish.

Saudi ArabiaCarrying the buggies was quite difficult, even though the staff helped us with them. It was uncomfortable to see women struggling with our own buggies. We noticed that there is a specific job called “hammal” (حمّال), which refers to a person who carries items using a special tool, unfortunately, the staff did not inform us about this service, even though we were willing to pay for it. Other than that, everything was perfect. We enjoyed our stay and would love to come back again.

The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating—when I needed to check out early to catch my flight, they kindly provided breakfast ahead of the usual hours (around 5 a.m).
