When booking this be mindful that it's an oasis in the desert. Has a campsite feel to it, very friendly and relaxed. Stayed in small house, but had a peak into the tents and was surprised how comfy they are. Dinner for an extra cost was super filling.

Staying here was an absolute dream! The camp is located right in the Sahara Desert, with cozy and beautifully decorated tents just a few meters away from the golden sand dunes. Waking up to the vast, untouched landscape was simply breathtaking. The experience was incredibly immersive, making us feel truly connected to the desert. Our amazing host, dressed in traditional clothes, made everything even more special. Watching him prepare traditional bread in the sand over an open fire, all under a sky bursting with countless stars, was pure magic. The food was exceptional, with a full-course dinner featuring delicious starters, mains, and more. Every detail was carefully thought out to ensure an authentic and unforgettable stay. Worth every penny! If you’re looking for a perfect, once-in-a-lifetime experience, this is it!

Excellent desert camping experience. We stayed in a tent, pleasantly surprised it had an electric light. The beds are quite hard but I slept well, and enjoyed a warm shower in the morning. Also took advantage of a quad bike and meal in the desert experience which was exceptional value for money

Although set in a beauty context, enclosed by palm leaves, the Tent option was not particularly comfortable due to insufficient warm blankets for November night temperatures. Common bathroom without light. Wi-fi only in the restaurant building. No issues for the superior room apart from the separation between the proper room and the bathroom: a curtain!

L`Oasis is set in the amazing scenary on the edge of red dunes of Sahara Desert. The structure itself is very gorgeous with small alleys between the tents and sorrounded by rooms resembling the berber warehouses. Like many structures in Ksar Ghilanbe, it offers excursions in the desert. We chose quad one and at the end of it we had our best meal in Tunisia with typical food consumed under a beduin Tent. Superior room is very clean and with nice view. For sure the best option for this accomodation. Good breakfast and healthy even though not particularly various.

Staying here with Ali was the highlight of our trip to Tunisia. From the very beginning, an easy going check-in, and relaxed atmosphere with smiles and waves greated us into a stunning and scenic location right by the edge of the desert. We were shown to our rooms which were cleaned well, and had all of the facilities we needed including extra blankets as we went during the cold December months. Ali even had the forethought to pre heat the rooms to a perfect temperature before we went to bed. We went on a dromedary trek about 1 mile into the desert, giving a real feeling of freedom and having a proper desert experience. Ali arrived with us, and set up a fire while we watched the sunset, and then cooked us a delicious meal, including cooking bread in the sand which was prepared incredibly well. Once back, he invited us to chat about our trip, and was just really friendly the whole time we were there. The following day, we took a plunge in the thermal pools which is about a 30 second walk from the site, another example of how perfectly located L'Oasis is I cannot speak highly enough of this incredible experience, and would recommend it to anyone in a heartbeat. I only wish we could plan another trip here, sooner, so we can see Ali and his amazing location again!

The superior rooms (with private bathroom) are quite expensive for what is very basic accommodation (mattresses on the floor of a small concrete hut, with no bathroom door just a curtain). But it's worth it for the location.

There is nowhere better to stay in Kasr Ghilane in terms of location. Looking out directly onto the dunes of the Sahara from your room is magical. Only l'Oasis offers this. It's an amazing place to stay.

It was really cold during the night.

Very nice location, the last camp before desert and close to the thermal springs. The stuff was kind and hospitable. It was also nice the atmosphere during the evening with local musicians and preparation of berbère pie around the fire.

The restaurant offers a set menu (normal in most hotels) for ten euros but they do not serve alcohol. There is only one place near the oasis that serves alcohol.

Quiet location, near the oasis. Breakfast is included, even it is not stated when booking.

Unfortunately, there is a noisy generator that works until late at night. The female toilet could be in better conditions.

Sleeping in a tent in the desert was an incredible experience. We enjoyed a lot the dinner there.

Payment only with cash. Basic breakfast. We were the only ones staying at that time, at least we did not see anyone else, and there were no activities at the camp site. The host said one price for the quads a day before, but the next day, when we were paying for them to him, it was 10 dinnars more - could be a fee as the quads were driven to us (they are located very near in the village if you want to go and chose them yourself.) I did not notice but my partner noticed the generator sound (it does get shout down late at night.) Take towels with you as there were none.

Good place for experiencing the desert. The host was friendly and talkative. He did not speak english very well, but for basic things we managed. We had a room upgade, and from the window, you see all the desert dunes. The inside of the main host building had a nice interiour. The host will guide you to the village center area with small warm water oasis and cafeterias and suveniur shops. If you want to swim there, i recommend going at night time, then it's more magical, at day time it is not that appealing for swimming. Near the camp at day time you can find camel tours and ride with quads. If it was warmer weather then we definitely would have tried also the tent options. If you are staying at cold time (we stayed at the beging of March) then I recommend the most expensive rooms that have warm blankets.

It was okay to stay in for a brief overnight, but nothing special, and certainly nowhere near as good as our many other stops as we toured Tunisia. Really a cheap hostel.

    Helpful staff.
