Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomOverall it was a great relaxing couple of days in a great hotel in an amazing location apart from a noisy and rowdy group of American tourists. It just took the edge off it being an amazing stay.
Wow, what a great location on the bank of the mighty Mekong river, a very nice hotel, friendly and helpful staff, great swimming pool, big room with a shower and a bath, overall a great stay. Good breakfast. Good wifi.

United KingdomAbsolutely solid stay here for 1 night on a road trip - a good hotel, well appointed but do pay for the bigger rooms with the view over the river! Location - super easy to access the boarder and key local attractions if you have your own wheels or organised transport. Hotel - large, in good condition overall with big loddy including snooker table, table football, pond, and free coffee on demand. Sited right on the Mekong with views to Laos. Room - large, well appointed and a comfy bed. Nice to have a bath (and plenty of hot water on demand to fill it!) Plus view from the balcony. Could have easily have stayed here longer. Do note that the rooms are not well soundproofed but this seems to come from the old ventilation ducts (new AC units fitted) as such even being at the back of the hotel we could hear the road noise (would not have wanted to be at the front of the hotel!) ... we were top floor so may have been worse due to no floor above. Pool - large outdoor pool with views directly to the Mekong Breakfast - good selection of Thai and some basic European. Parking - out front diagonal to the road. Not quite deep enough so the cars sit out into the bike lane a bit. About space for 15 vehicles only ... however most guests seemed to arrive by taxi or bus so only 3 cars in total during our stay. Overall the best place to stay in the triangle area for the price and would very happily stay again!

AustraliaThe wifi system that logs you out every session was annoying. The 2sqm bathroom had the shower and the toilet bowl facing each other on the same even floor so water gets everywhere. They offered to attach curtain for us, but we passed for personal (hygienic) reasons.
Staff were great, friendly and very helpful. Location was a short drive to most places. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Northern Thai style breakfast included (which we skipped for sleep). Water and coffee station near the lobby is available 24hr. Overall it was an enjoyable stay!

CanadaThe hotel seemed to be full of tour groups who could be very noisy at times... especially early in the morning. The hotel is quite a distance from the centre of town. But using the free bicycles made getting into town no big problem.
Front desk staff were very helpful. They put a lot of effort into helping us buy bus tickets. Excellent pool. The river view from our room was amazing. The breakfast was great.

ThailandIt is a shame that the management or owner have the marvelous swimming pool in such a bad condition. Tiles are missing, grout is nowhere existent and it is dangerous that guests can cut themselves on these sharp edges. For such high room prices one would expect at least the pool to be maintained/repaired by knowledgeable technicians or workers.
Hotel rooms are spotlessly clean and staff is very helpful, stunning views from riverfront rooms over the Maekhong. Breakfast choice good.

AustraliaMost staff were unable to understand any English so this was difficult. However, they tried and were pleasant. EAS slitter far from anything and transport and restaurants were difficult. It was good for one night whilst we visited the Golden Triangle.

United KingdomHotel restaurant is closed (apart for breakfast) and no food or drink opportunities within walking distance.
Infinity swimming pool and balcony both have wonderful views of the Mekong River. Rooms are clean and well appointed (although the glass wall in the bathroom was a bit surprising!) Good parking area opposite. Breakfast setting is lovely - food is OK.

DenmarkLocated right next to the Mekong River, and be sure to get a room facing the river so you can watch sunrises, definitely the reason to choose this hotel. The hotel can use an update and the shower needs more pressure, but I had a pleasant stay. You can borrow bikes for free, and ride the 10k to the Golden Triangle/Opium Museum or the 3k to the Skywalk. They can help arrange transport to/from Chiang Rai airport/city. The bed and breakfast is good and the staff is helpful.
