How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Very good location. Near the local Muslim street food market. The staff was extremely helpful. The room was very compact but that's ok for the price paid.

Small room with nowhere to dry swim suits and towels overnight.
Nice staff. Central location but not noisy at night so it’s perfect. Pier is a 4 minute walk away and all restaurants and pubs are very close too. Furtherst would be a 6 minute walk away. Very good location. AC was very good and strong.

The rooms look a bit old. The walls need painting. Air condition above the bed.
I have been coming to Phi Phi for 2 years in a row and have stayed in different hotels. This is the best value for money budget accommodation. Would recommend for 2-3 days. The hotel is located on the noisy party bar side. This room has air conditioning, usually for this price you only get a fan. The staff was friendly. The rooms are not new but I found them comfortable.

The air conditioner was blowing into our faces when we went to sleep. But turning it off was also too hot.
Pretty clean, and cute stay — very nicely decorated. The location was also very good.

Shower got the bathroom floor wet however I found this to be common in Thailand and wasn’t much of an issue

The walls need new paint Remove the bandaid from the roof. Its a bit disgusting. The only downside was the air con. pointing at the bed.
It was super close to the center and for that price totally fine. I had my own bathroom and even a fridge! Bed was comfortable and clean.

Considering the price it was all really okay. Nice staff, very good location. Wet shower was totally okay. Air con worked great.
My stay at sea shell Hut was what I expected given the price was very affordable. It is a very basic room. It does its job for a few days. Would come again!

The bathroom was a little outdated, but fortunately no smell problems and the water heater worked perfectly.
Amazing value for money - location is unbeatable yet it was quiet and comfortable. Highly recommended for cozy budget stay. The host is also tremendously nice & welcoming.

The bathroom was bot very clean and just big towel provided. I like the small towels as well as I use them for hands and for drying my hair.
The location is excellent, next to the market, beach, bars and restaurants area. They have a locker with key but not enough for the big luggage. Anyway you can leave luggage at reception and it’s safe.

Did not like the bathroom, as shower and toilet in one and water went everywhere. But this was just a little thing.
Location was great! Middle of everything and close to Ferry terminal. Small room but comfortable and cute.

It wasn't very clean.
At Bhat 700 per night, you can't go wrong for a one-night stay. It has good air conditioning, hot water, and a comfortable bed. It is very central and the next time I visit Maya Bay, I will stay here again.

The bed was a little uncomfortable and the duvet a bit small. Only minor problems, all in all it was a great value for a couple nights in a stunning destination.
Very central location but not loud as was expected! The room had everything we needed, although basic, a fridge, aircon, wet room bathroom!

There is a lot of mould in the room. You can even smell it, the AC looks like they never changed the filter since they installed it. The bathroom needs deep cleaning. It’s ok for a night or two. It’s very cheap so I didn’t expect anything else for this price.
Right in the center, 3 min walking to the beach, friendly staff, coffee and tea available at the reception. Good pressure in the shower and hot water

It was bare bones with a hard bed and a not so nice looking bathroom.
Gold value for the price. Clean, totally fine for one night. Very nice staff. Late check in was possible. We could also store our luggage at the front.

No bed sheets (only one blanket) and Iwasn’t able to set the temperature of AC. Kind of a dark alley at night.
