Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaNot a thing - we will be coming back!
The location was perfect, with snorkelling straight off the beach from the resort. The staff were amazing, and really go out of their way to make sure you are having a nice stay. They made everything feel effortless! Really great restaurant and bar too

United Arab EmiratesWhile the property was beautiful, the lack of road access was a major inconvenience. The only practical way in or out was by boat, strictly tied to the resort’s own schedule and charged at 150 Baht per person. That may sound small, but when you add it up every time you want to step out, it starts feeling like you’re paying double the cost just to leave the property. Yes, they do provide everything onsite, but let's be real when you're a captive audience, the pricing reflects that. Technically, they do have road access. But if a 45-minute uphill jungle hike followed by a 30-minute road walk qualifies as “access,” then sure. But let’s not pretend it’s realistic, especially for families or those looking for a relaxing holiday. What hurt more was the subtle but undeniable sense of racial bias. We were the only Indians at the resort, and while most interactions were polite, some moments left a bitter aftertaste. When my husband asked a staff member if we could get coconut water, she brushed him off with a curt “Go to the restaurant and order.” Moments later, we watched her take an order from a white couple at their table. Even more jarring, I overheard one staff member say to another, “I don’t want to take the Indian table, you go.” We didn’t confront it. We smiled, stayed calm, and carried on. But let’s not pretend it didn’t happen. It did.
The property offered a truly secluded beach experience—aside from the resort guests and staff, there wasn’t a soul in sight. The untouched shoreline and gentle hush of the waves created a sense of peace that felt almost private. And the sunrise? Absolutely magical—bathed in golden light, the entire place felt like it had paused to breathe.

NetherlandsThe food was decent, we would’ve loved more authentic but didn’t bother us in our 3 days.
This was one of your favorite stays in our few months of travel. You feel so immersed in the nature, the beach was beautiful and we felt we were in a total paradise. The rooms are basic cabin vibe, clean and comfortable, and we didn’t mind the steps up to the room because the view was so gorgeous. Such a memorable stay and nice for unwinding.

United StatesThey charge for transportation from the ferry to the hotel, there are no toiletries like shampoo and conditioner. They don’t provide daily towels, we had to ask for them. There is only one restaurant on site , and the options are limited.
The location was amazing, private beach , friendly staff , we had a beach front room which any closer to the water our bed would’ve been floating ! Staff was very friendly and they kept the grounds very clean.

NetherlandsThe staff isn’t the most friendly. They were all always on their phones and sitting in the main areas or the beach chairs. Maybe because it was low season but there were way too many staff people just laying around the hotel. Also the fire shows that were advertised never happened. And the rooms were average, and the water pressure in the showers was incredibly low
Very secluded location, only accessible by boat. The hotel was quite empty (low season)

AustraliaNo night taxi service. You will be stuck in the main city overnight. DO NOT do the “walk over island” alone or unprepared it’s very rugged and easy to get lost.
Wonderful and so so beautiful. Most amazing staff in the whole country, special shout out to Lola who was exceptionally welcoming every morning. Good cheap food options at restaurant, fun cocktails, can rent snorkel

United KingdomBeing on the beach and so close to nature, bugs are sadly inevitable, so rooms are equipped with insect nets. This is nothing the resort can do anything about however, so isn’t a negative on their part. It would have been nice to have had a small fridge in my room.
Relax is in a secluded part of the Phi Phi coast with it’s own beach, unlike other resorts close by that share a larger beach with multiple other resorts. It really is paradise, watching the sunrise from the beach is a beautiful start to the day. The resort offer snorkelling gear for a small charge, the snorkelling is incredible- crystal clear waters with a lot of coral and fish to look at. Food at the resort is great, the breakfast is included and it three courses. Evening meals are prepared to a good standard. The small beach bar sells cocktails and beers that are priced according to the area. I had a beachfront bungalow and it really had the wow factor. I’m not sure how many times in my life I’ve been able to walk off my property straight onto a beautiful golden beach, metres away from crystal clear green water. Bungalows are comfortable with hot showers. The staff are incredible warm and friendly.

CanadaNot quite Relax Beach Resort with all of the boats zooming by. Over priced for the accommodation but not ridiculously so.
On a secluded stretch of beach, with nice sized bungalows facing the ocean. Felt like a getaway compared to the hustle of town. No real logistics to think about as the resort is well operated. The food was good and priced fairly. Engaging and attentive staff.

CanadaNo AC, windows had no screens, roof didn’t connect to the walls so bugs in the room. Quite a few cockroaches.
Cool location however do not walk!! Take the boat. You have to walk through people’s farms, on an unmarked trail filled with garbage and some questionable looking animals.

South AfricaThe bathroom was a little rustic, but it’s understandable being right on the beach and having a ton of sand following you inside all the time.
The staff were super friendly and engaging, and there seems to be families that come here often, so staff were engaging with families and children, which was really special to see. The snorkelling right in the beach is incredible, and the beach itself is idyllic. The restaurant makes great food.

IndiaNo air conditioning. I booked a sea view non ac accommodation, but when we reached they moved us into a room with barely a sliver of the sea visible. When I protested, the next day, I was given a room with one of the best views of the sea I've ever seen.
Excellent location, helpful staff and some of the properties have amazing sea views. Nice half day tour to Maya bay and other attractions (costs extra). The food is good, the amenities are alright - you have to understand that this is an even remote beach on an already remote island, so they might sometimes come short on expectations but they try their best with whatever they have at hand.

United KingdomWas it absolute 5 start luxury, no, but it doesn’t need to be for what it offers. It is pure heaven if you are looking to relax. Food from restaurant was the let down in my opinion and location is too far to go to town all the time so you’re stuck with it.
Unbelievably calm and tranquil, just paradise if you are looking to completely switch off and relax.
