AustraliaThe bathroom was well appointed however small. Really a one person bathroom. My room was at the very rear, so quite a walk to the front and sadly no view from the balcony.
The beachside pool is exceptional. Clean, large, lots of lounges, with fabulous bar and meal service. Breakfast also fabulous. An abundance and large spread of different dishes available and replenished often. Staff very professional and attentive. Lamai I found a good location. All shops, restaurants and services are available with the area generally relaxed, low key and less busy than elsewhere. At night was very quiet, no traffic or street noise.

The best feature is the staff, especially Michael. The ladies in the kids club were also excellent. And not to forget Jeremy. The pools are good, especially for kids. The slide is brilliant. Breakfast and the menu at the pool restaurant are really good quality. The ice cream stand my the pool is a temptation you cannot resist! The sofa beds looking out across the beach.

Hungary-Slow Service at Edgewater Restaurant -Crossing the road between Resort and Edgewater -At first we had a Suite close to the Road and it was so noisy at night that we couldn't sleep well, but after two nights we could change rooms and afterwards is was good
The Lamai Suite was spacious and really clean, nice interior. The breakfast was ok, quite huge choice but somehow still not outstanding. suprisingly the local dishes were not really good. But there was a nice choice of local fruits and an omlet stand so that was good. What was really outstanding was the kids club. Our kids never once before stayed in a kids club without us, but the ladys there made them feel safe and welcome so that they didn't want to leave when we picked them up. Anytime our kids needed something or wanted to go they called us immediately. A big thank you to the whole Kids Club Team! They also had really great activities and arts and crafts for the kids. Absolutely great! The beach pool area was nice but mostly crowded. But you could aways find a sun lounger anyway. As we had half board we spent a lot of time in the restaurant at the beach. the location is really nice, good view. However the service was really slow, sometimes and easy lunch took us more than 90 Minutes as the service often ignored guests. Food qualitiy however was really great! We enjoeyed all dishes, so a huge Thank you to the kitchen.

IrelandBreakfast offering was good choice but fruits always had fruit flies as did pastries & breads - there was a great chef doing omelettes/ eggs & food choice was great but more care/ coverage of fruits, breads etc needed. Also no slippers/ toiletries in rooms was inconvenient, I know they could be ordered but better to have in room when you arrive.
Pool Area was fabulous, very chill & never too packed - great offering of classes throughout the day - staff were excellent & very helpful/ friendly! Rooms were great size & beds extremely comfortable.

The resort is a bit far from Chaweng, but you can take a taxi. For couples and families you have everything you need.

IrelandIt's a nice hotel but is not 5 star- probably lower end of a 4 star. Overall it was a nice trip but we did have some issues and the staff made no attempt to help. - room cleaning quite poor- requested clean sheets on multiple occasions but only after asking 3 times did they change them. Rubbish was never removed from the room unless piled on the floor. - we were working remotely European hours so needed to start work at 3pm. Room cleaning occurred at random times despite requesting staff members to do it before 3pm. - room is very hot and humid- the fan does not go lower than 20 degrees - room was not comfortable to work from (although I imagine this is not typically people's requirement) - we asked for an early check-in ahead of our arrival and were told they would see what they could do but they wouldn't guarentee anything. On arrival it was clear no attempt to let us check in earlier was ever made. - we had electricity failure but only affecting sockets not lights (not a power cut) where we couldn't charge or plug anything in - very unresponsive staff even through the app they make you download (asking for a simple request was asking for a mammoth task- very different to other 5* places in thailand) - had a balcony that looks out into a grey wall- were given a ground floor room and when asked if we could move to a higher floor, said they'd check and then never responded. When called back 2 more times, they eventually said they'd forgotten to reply but no other room was available.
