How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThis place is very nice and calm and has friendly owners. The room is clean and well-maintained. It's a bit far from the center, but with a scooter, it's not a big deal. I prefer quieter places. :)

Verified reviewGreat little guesthouse. Very friendly staff. Good value for money. Small kitchen for guest's use. Free coffee & hot chocolate all day, free toast for breakfast. Clean and well equipped. Plenty of supermarkets and food stalls all around.
A couple km's from town centre, no problem for us as we rented a scooter from there to explore the area.

Verified reviewAfter roughing it in Laos we needed a place for some RnR and this place was so nice that we extended our stay for several days. The bed is HUGE and really comfy (although the pillows are a little bit thick for my liking), the room is clean and there is daily housekeeping. The bathroom is very nice and clean and the shower has good water pressure. Shampoo and soap samples are provided. Wifi works well. The place is a bit out of the center but it's close to a supermarket and a mall which has a really nice foodcourt with lots of affordable food options. Everything was great and we really enjoyed our stay
The shower was not really hot, just lukewarm, which was a little bit challenging during this time of year as it's a bit cold.

Verified reviewAfter travelling from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai by motorbike, my initial plan was to just book for 2 days and from there to move on to the next place. Instead, I ended up staying for 2 weeks in this excellent hotel. Joy, the owner, is very friendly and if you show some interest in her, you would notice she really loves her city and knows great spots to have real local Thai food too. I stayed also in several rooms, number 1 and 2 downstairs with own parking lot, number 8 upstairs, which was a kingsize room, but more suitable for 2 persons. Since I was travelling alone, and wanted the most quiet room possible, so I could work, I stayed at number 4, behind the reception, the rest of my stay. Internet was excellent and fast, so great location if your relying on internet for work. Shower pressure was good, and location excellent: near the highway, 2km from town, with a motorbike it's just a 5-10 min drive. BIG C is jus 1 minute walk opposite of the hotel + also other stores in this shopping mall. 5 minutes walking distance is also a 24/7 selfservice laundry, and instead of drying my clothes in a dryer, I got permission to use the hotels drying rack. If you don't have self transportation, 2 scooters can be rented from the hotel. Payments can be done by card or cash. Lastly about the cleaning: it was excellent, and I want to thank especially Kisan, for executing a great cleaning job, by cleaning all the rooms by herself. Most of the time cleaners are getting unnoticed by many who book rooms, but without a great cleaner, a hotel is not worth staying for a long time .Keep up the good work Kisan, many hotels can take an example of the cleanliness this hotel has to offer! And Joy thank you also for being flexible with my erratic travel plans and irregular payments ^_^ See you when I see you guys!
Everything perfect, I have been travelling through all of Southeast Asia, and this was one of the better hotels I have stayed in. I would definitely come back whenever I'm visiting Chiang Rai again. If you're staying in Chiang Mai and considering the famous Mae Hong Son loop, then think twice: it's a crowded route nowadays. I travelled it in 2011, when Chiang Mai was still a quiet town. But I came back to Chiang Mai in January 2025 to see what has become of the town, and although Chiang Mai still has its charm, it's flooded with too many tourists nowadays. Another reason for considering Chiang Rai: it has its own loop and I didn't see many tourists while travelling though the mountains (it can get chilly, so bring a jacket). Besides the White & Blue temple, the Golden Triangle was the place I saw most tourist, bu overall you can get a great getaway in the less travelled region of Northeastern Thailand.

Verified reviewThe best stay in Thailand! We really loved staying at Graphic House, such a nice and modern building managed by a very kind host. The room was spotless, spacious, bright and comes with a comfy bed, AC and a fridge. The toilet is well designed and there’s daily room service with towels being changed and toiletries topped up. There’s a shared kitchen with microwave, hot water, dinnerware, toaster and bread. You can easily rent new motorbikes and borrow a bike as well. Location is a bit far from the centre but Grab works very well. Big shopping malls nearby such as BigC, Central, but also a 7/11 and a new laundry service. Very good value for money. Strongly recommended!

Verified reviewJoy, the owner, was always willing to help. From the moment I arrived she greeted me with a smile and made me feel welcome. My room was being cleaned as I arrived (I did arrive early) and it smelt so nice and clean as well. The bed I found very comfy. Also, the shower was nice and hot and good pressure. I found everything about the hotel to be a great experience and I will definitely stay again if I am back that way. She even has 2 brand new motorcycles to rent which I took advantage of for a day.
It is a little bit out of the way, but the motorbike made up for that.

Verified reviewThe room is nice, shower is good, wifi is good. The owner is very pleasant. The price is a real bargain. There's a nice cat. There is hot water and instant coffee available in the morning and you can make toast.
The location is not in the center of town. But it is easy to call Gran or Bolt. Also, it is less than a five minute walk to the Big C, and not much more to the large mall Center Chiang Rai.

Verified reviewVery clean and comfy room with comfortable bed. Excellent price per night. The owner Joy is friendly and helpful. She rented me a brand new Honda Click automatic at a very decent 300 baht per day, which was great for visiting the city centre, the temples, the Big Buddha and the Black House.
Graphic House is 30 mins walk from the centre, which I knew before I arrived, so I was happy to have the motorbike. Otherwise, if you don't want to walk, there are tuk-tuks from the centre or 'Grab' taxis on the app.
