How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The location is quite cut-off from the main part of the island, so it would have been nice to have some sort of entertainment in the evening since the nearby village is pretty small

The food was so so but correct. Complicated to get access to the hotel (only long tail from phiphi pier), no access to the restaurants and trail when high tail (almost the whole day) The hotel could put in place a removable pier.

Verified reviewHad the most superb experience at Centara Villas! Everything from the views, to the hospitality and amenities on offer were outstanding. Would definitely recommend, especially for a couple’s getaway.
Only downside is we experienced a power outage on the second day which affected our mobile data, and the breakfast buffet was not available to its full capacity. It would be good to have back up options such as a generator on site.

Verified reviewThe property is the nicest I’ve seen in Thailand. The views are magnificent. Unparalleled. Insane. The staff is incredibly hospitable and quite kind. Once you get off the long tail boat on the pier, you are greeted by a personal concierge, they take you on a buggy to the reception. You are greeted with cold refreshing eucalyptus towels and a fresh fruit drink. They have you sit and enjoy the view. Once they see you have cooled down from your travels, they print the check in forms to you on the couch. They also have a fantastic application that is used for everything in the resort from requesting a buggy pickup to requesting food to your room. Our concierge Chaba, showed us how to use it and was a fantastic hostess. We came 3 hours earlier than check in, they had us enjoy the pool for an hour until our room was ready. The pool is stunning with stunning views and delicious pool side service. We then spontaneously wanted a long tail island tour and told Chaba, with a smile she immediately arranged one for us. She showed us around the whole property and came with us to our room and showed us around there. We never had to carry our bags or do any work. The villas are very spacious, clean and fresh. The bathrooms are huge! The views from every part of the property are delightful. Would most definitely recommend. Please don’t pay attention to any negative reviews, we never had to climb stairs or walk anywhere. Thank you to all the wonderful staff, especially Chaba.

Verified reviewMy wife, daughter, and I stayed at Centara in May. The view is beautiful and the facilities are excellent. The staff was incredible. They greeted us at the pier and helped us get around to the other side of the island despite the fact that I didn’t schedule anything with them ahead of time. When we got to the report, they greeted us with eucalyptus towels and fresh juice. They were extremely accommodating. The chef Umed came out at every meal to talk with us and make sure everything was good with our meal. He always made it clear to let us know if there was something else we’d like that wasn’t on the menu or at the breakfast buffet. He also offered to make fresh purées or any other food we needed for our baby. The breakfast, by the way, was the best I’ve ever had at a resort or hotel. It was absolutely phenomenal. The dining staff were equally friendly, and we made friends with most of them. The lobby staff was also incredible. Hosanna and her team were so friendly and helpful, always making time to talk with us and play with our baby when we walked through. We had such a great time getting to know them. Ruk and the recreation crew were super kind and helped me get out on a kayak one of the days. He was such a friendly guy. The GM Ning was a joy to see every day, and she does an excellent job. She was so friendly to us and even got our daughter a stuffed elephant before we left. She also gave us some free printed pictures of our family. The stay was incredible down to every detail. We will definitely be back. I don’t have everyone’s names, but I just wanted to say thanks to everyone I could think of: Tarn, Non, Light, Faa, Bob, Jack, Noey, Chaba, Jasmin, Ex, Joy, and Roh. We had such a great time, thank you for such a great stay!

It never said anywhere on the booking that we would have to get a long tail boat from Ton Sai pier to the hotel which you were forced to pay for each time you wanted to use it, it was 750 BHT each time, and if was the only way to get to places, so was pretty extortionate! And they also weren’t that frequent so you couldn’t experience Phi Phi night life, and also anything you needed you could only get from the main part of Phi Phi! The room wasn’t sealed properly via the windows, doors, and any open crevice, so got all kinds of bugs and reptiles inside, spiders, lizards, cockroaches etc. the poor staff had to repeatedly come to our rescue at all hours of the evening, and also because of the poor sealing, the AC did not work well as all the cool air just escaped, and this also meant you could hear every animal at all hours of the night. It was really hard to get anywhere without using the buggy as it was all very steep and uphill, and the pool was very underwhelming and should have been their own private beach instead. The elevator only gets you so far, you still have to climb a billion stairs to get to most places, and that was hard in the heat. They didn’t really offer any activities on site, so even if you didn’t venture to the other side of Phi Phi where everything is, you wouldn’t have anything to do there anyway…
