The hosts were so very lovely. Extremely helpful with everything. From the big to the small. Great attention to detail. Offering free water every time They saw me, making me delicious coffee, yummy welcome drink and for my mum and dad who weren’t staying but just came to drop me off, helping communicate in Thai to organise some things. Lovely couple :) the room is great for the price, as big as one might need for a hostel type stay. If at the hostel I liked to sit down in the lounge area anyway. I love the decor of the polished cement and the Buddhist type paintings and photographs of animals. Very cool style to the place. The rooms and facilities were exceptionally cleaned to the level of a very good hotel. They even have a cupboard for clothes, a drying rack in the room, and a portable lamp. Those little touches show a lot of care and attention to detail. No bathroom in the rooms which is totally fine with me. They have many stalls with toilets, showers, and many sinks. Bathrooms were immaculately clean. The location is simply amazing, basically accross the road from the beach, pier, and so many restaurants. Right in the heart of the area, but off the main road so traffic noise is no issue. Perfect location. Great value and such a warm cozy place to stay. Highly recommend. Kup Kun Krub 🙏

I loved it here. The couple that run the hostel are lovely people. The room was cozy, comfortable, and quiet. I highly recommend staying here.

Great location, near Hua Hin night market and the Fish pier. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The common area is spacious.

This hostel is seriously such great value for money! Everything was amazing. Super comfy — both physically and mentally. the hostel is super close to the beach and local shops. btw The host is really friendly and helpful with great tips. Everything you need is provided so convenient. bed is also insanely comfy, like soul-sucking comfy. Oh, and the welcome drink was really tasty!

This is such a gem of a place! Such wonderful people that go out of their way to help and cater to your every need. So unbelievably loving and friendly. I recommend this place 100%! Thank you for making our stay with you unforgettable.

We had such a lovely stay at Captain Joe’s Hostel. It felt like we came home. The owners treat you like family and we’re so helpful with arranging our transport and suggesting activities for us to do- we are very much into ethical tourism and they are too. The beds were really comfortable and the whole space impeccably clean. The price was so reasonable for what you got. You are a few minutes walk to the night market, beach and lots of amazing restaurants. I would highly recommend this hostel! Thank you 🙏

Owner is very friendly, hospitable and generous. They are genuinely concerned for their guests. Room is of good size (maybe a little tight for 2 persons). There are adequate power outlets to recharge devices. Air con is super strong. Wifi connection is great. Common bathroom is very clean. Just a stone throw away from the beach. Tons of eateries and massage parlor around the property. Convenience stores and night market are a few minutes walk from the property.

Very good, small, cozy hotel on the pier in Hua Hin. Very friendly service, and the breakfast was also excellent! I can recommend it if you need a cheap overnight stay in Hua Hin or for longer stays!

The room was well equipped with a small table, shelf stand, closet. The bathrooms were organized and clean. The welcoming drinks were amazing 👏 the lemon honey! The hosts were so sweet and always looking out to help us out, sharing plates and utensils to eat, Joy helped us get a good deal on waterpark 600b per adult. If I was staying any longer id choose to live at Captian Joe's for a few months. Close to the night market, closet to the beach, amazing food options nearby. We stayed 4 nights, 3 adults and 2 babies. We had an amazing time. The beds were so comfy. Tight room, bit didnt feel small because it was designed well.

The value for money at Captain Joe's is outstanding. Delicious and healthy breakfast provided each morning. Beautiful owners who make you feel welcome. Everything is immaculately clean and well looked after. The hostel itself is located a 10 minute walk from the main Hua Hin beach, right next to the main shops and restaurants, but in a quiet part of town. The owners helped book a car back to Bangkok for my wife and I and provided recommendations on where to go around Hua Hin. The wildlife photography on the wall is also really beautiful and the bed is incredibly comfortable. We also did not have any noise wake us up during the night and could not hear other guests. Thank you Captain Joe!

This hotel was more than perfect. We felt right at home. Everything is clean, the rooms are spacious, with windows and the hosts are so sweet. Very good location too. Bonus for the free mango and coffee in the morning! Would recommend very much !

Great guesthouse, very clean, brilliant location close to everything but far enough away from main bar street to feel chilled. Joy is such a kind, warm hearted lady, always checking if you are ok and offering cold drinks when getting back from the heat! Bed was the comfiest of my 2 month trip in Thailand so far.

The newly renovated building has new sheets to new light fittings. The hosts are amazing...so helpful and genuinely caring. The location is in the most interesting part of the city being close to the beach, restaurants and pier dining on weekends. It is however a quiet and safe area.

Don't expect a nautical theme because the new decor is more industrial. There is no gym or swimming pool but its a short stroll to the beach.

Unbelievably helpful owners & clean facilities.

Amazing Hosts! You feel like staying at your relative's home. The couple owners are so kind and friendly. They go above and beyond to take care of the guest! Thank you once again for such a wonderful stay. The place is spotless, so clean. They even have different washer machines for door mats, sheets , clothes...etc... Best of the best ! Not only that, every time you come back from heat they always welcome you back with fresh cold bottle water or freshly made juice daily. Couldnt ask for better accommodation. Highly recommend especially you are solo travel and females.

You could not ask for nicer hosts. They absolutely went out of their way to help. Beautifully clean, and a lovely location. After almost two months in Thailand, finally a mattress, pillows and towels that weren't rock hard!

I have no complaints

We've spent only one night in Captain Joe but we wish we could stay longer. The owner is amazing, taking care of her guests and their wellbeing. The room was quite spacious and very clean. The Internet connection was very good compared to other places we've been across Asia. When we arrived we got fresh cold water and a welcome drink (fresh pineapple juice). There is a restaurant / common area on the ground floor where you can chill. Shared bathrooms are big, very clean and well equipped. The owner also made us laundry at a very reasonable price. When we were checking out in the early morning, one of our yogurts fell on the ground and broke. The owner gave us 2 new yogurts from her own stack. Such a lovely gesture! If you're staying in Hua Hin don't hesitate and choose Captain Joe!
