How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewWalking distance to Phraya Nakhon cave (not to mention Bang Pu beach). Could go to the cave as one of the first visitors in the morning, then after 2.5 hours of going and coming back, I could get refreshed with shower. Gorgeous! The family running the hotel was very friendly too!
No coffee for breakfast

Verified reviewHotel located on the river, very nice and quiet area, so close to the main attraction of the park that can be reached even walking no more than 10 minutes. Staff is friendly, and the restaurant on site is a plus if someone is not in the mood to find food elsewhere. Typical thai cuisine offered, simple breakfast made of egg, 2 sausages, salad topped with mayonnaise and toasted bread. Very clean rooms, the whole complex seems to be pretty new, room itself is modern style with a large glass wall with view of the river. Excellent wifi connection. Parking available just behind the rooms.
Breakfast time starts at 8 a.m., dinner time ends at 17:30

Verified reviewThe location was fantastic if you would like to hike up to the cave. It was just 10 minutes walk away from the beginning of the trail. We were able to walk to see the sunset at the beach and were the first set of tourists to hike up the mountain. The resort is next to a klong with plenty of fish and mangrave trees. It’s really calm and lovely
If you would like to enjoy Pranburi in general, and not just the cave, the area is quite inconvenient. It’s only accessible to the cave and not really anything else if you don’t have private vehicles. It’s a few minutes walk away from Samroiyod beach where you can get plenty of boat tour to enjoy the area but we were not able to walk there cause there’s a river/ Estuary blocking the way so, if you want to go to that beach, you have to drive/ride for 10-15 minutes.

Verified reviewDinner in the restaurant is very good (important, as there are rarely any other possibilities to eat in the village). Breakfast Thai style, but also very good.
Thank you very much for the lovely customer.

Verified reviewWhat I like most is that the staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is very convenient to go to the beach and the national park. The food and drinks were delicious, prepared quickly and beautifully.
The mattress is a bit sunken, the sleep feeling is not very comfortable.
Thank you very much for the lovely customer.

Firm beds aren't ideal for me but they are great for some people!

Verified reviewThe location was great. We went to Ban Bang Pu to hike up to the Phraya Nakhon Cave and to see the wild elephants at Kui Buri National Park. The cave hike starts 850 m from the hotel. Loved the cave. The hotel arranged a taxi to take us to the visitor center at the national park (1600 baht) an hour away. Super easy to get a guide and a truck there for the safari. 850 baht for truck (max 5 people) and 200 baht pp.
Thank you very much for your lovely customer.

Verified reviewThe perfect location to stay at if visiting the Phraya Nakhon Cave - less than 10 minutes walk from the start of the trail to the cave. Beautiful garden with mangroves, very peaceful and quiet. Room was clean and spacious, but very simple.
We didn’t like the breakfast (salad, fried egg on toast and hot dog sausages), no vegetarian option. The hotel is only accessible with a taxi which was very pricy (no Uber/Grab so the hotel arranged it for us). Restaurant is nice with a good variety for dinner.
We really apologize to the customer because we really don't know that the customer is vegetarian. Most of the time, if the customer wants a vegetarian, we will do it. (Customers have to explain to us)

Verified reviewBeautiful outdoor area to have breakfast with views of the river, mangrove, mountains and monkeys. The rooms were spacious and fairly clean. The location was perfect- right around the corner from Phraya Nakhon Cave. The cute cat was a big bonus!
There were LOADS of mosquitoes in the room. Not taking away points from the score because of the nice ambience, and the adorable friendly cat giving me head butts, but they really need to improve the mosquito situation. They should have a bug zapper raquet or something in the rooms.
I have to forgive you. Because it is a rainy season, our resort is next to the canal and mangrove forest, so there are a lot of mosquitoes during this period, but during the period without rain, most of them will not have mosquitoes. We are happy to bring what customers blame and will improve and thank you very much for the lovely customers who like our resort.

Verified reviewThe garden is nice, rooms are big.
Honestly, I would give a lower rating but the place looked kind of nice. We just didn't feel welcome at all. We get that it's low season, but still.. when we arrived there was nobody. Still no problem for us, but when someone finally came, they barely looked at us and just aksed for money for the key and took off again. Would have been nice to know upfront that the restaurant was closed, than we could have eaten something along the way there. The next day there was a lot of staff, but only 1 guy actually gave us a smile. We just wanted to get out of here, we did not feel comfy at all.
We are very sorry for your customers. We will improve and solve the problems that occur as best as possible.
