Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NorwaySome construction ongoing until October 2025 - nothing very disturbing but pick room wisely.
Anantara is fantastic! Newly renovated pool and rooms, great staff, beautiful spa and what a surrounding! The best hotel in Hua Hin by a mile! We stayed all over in HH (Hilton, Centara, Lets sea). Nothing beats Anantara if you like the oriental style.

United KingdomThe pump on thr pool with water jets was noisy.
Tranquility, beautiful gardens. Lots of birds and lizards...some quite large. The pool over looking the lagoon has a stunning view. Waitress come to the pool for your orders. The balcony over looking a pool to our room was private with a large overhead fan. The food was excellent, great choice of breakfast and we had Mediterranean meal and Thai at Sea Fire Salt. There were renovations, but it did not interrupt our stay. The Spa is one of three best I've bee to.

SingaporeThe original room we had was infested with mosquitos so many we had to ask for a change. The room was on the ground floor and also rather dark even in day time. It was a bit disappointing how the staff responded to the situation at first. We were tired from a long drive was already sunset and knowing this they were asking to wait one extra hour to change the room (even though was late enough to have rooms ready). They weren't willing to change until I was forceful and said I won't sleep in a room with so many mosquitos. At the end they changed. I hope not to have to got through something like this again. The hotel garden is very lush hence the mosquitos but as a property of this caliber, fogging and pest control needs to be a regular measure. Based on the response, I assumed this situation happens very often there it seems. Despite the property being maintained, the room can use a refurbishing as it's starting to be old.
The gigantic bed. The amenities in the room, including the capsule coffee maker, plenty of water bathrobe and fluffy slippers. The staff was kind accommodating an early check out as we were heading back to Bangkok. They prepared breakfast boxes and coffee. Which as very handy. Over all the staff is very pleasant, but perhaps can use a bit more training for a 5 star hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable. And the property seems comfy for a relaxing holiday. Although it is a bit away from the city centre and will require a taxi at all times. I think the hotel has shuttle though. Not many resturants or cafes nearby unless eating at the hotel.

ThailandThe service staff at the breakfast. 2 staff men in makeup. They are arrogant. When I ask when the gluten free bread is, he just points the direction with a very rude gesture. Another one carries a plate with fruits on walking to serve a customer and he wants me to stop and give him the way. Oh!!! I have never encountered this rudeness in high-end hotels/resorts
The resort covers big piece of land. Big pool. Many restaurants. The room has been renovated. Clean and new.

FranceBest hotel I have ever stayed in ! I can’t even describe how magical was our experience in the Anantara Hua Hin. Everything is well thought and in the details : the room, the pool, the services, the breakfast (WOW 😍), the pool bar, the facilities (gym, games, library, badminton, table tennis..), the transfer to town in the evening… It was honestly the highlights of our trip and we still dream about it now. Will surely come again again if we can

United StatesNothing I didn't like. They even have a tennis court and basketball court.
The minute I arrived, I was impressed by the service, hospitality and delightful facilities. What a beautiful location on the Gulf of Thailand. Lemon who was managing the front desk was very delightful and helpful. I then had a 24-hour flu stomach virus and Ray at the front desk was so helpful in helping me be delivered to the hospital and was checking with me regularly, along with other staff to ensure that I was ok after returning. I will never forget this great hotel. The first question that hotel staff should ask is how they can make so happy that you'll return again. I'll return again to this hotel because of the work and service from this staff.

United KingdomNothing, this was the first time I couldn’t fault anything.
This is the best hotel we’ve ever stayed in, the greenery is superb. The tropical plant life and lakes make you feel so happy. The service was outstanding, the prices of food and drink are so reasonable. The breakfast was amazing. The place is small enough to be intimate but big enough to have space. This truly is a special place to stay.

United KingdomThe location is tricky being away from other shops and a ride away from Hua Hin so if you want to explore you need transport. I found the food and drinks at the hotel overpriced and I personally, did not like the coffee.
I stayed at this hotel 12yrs ago and it was as beautiful as I remembered when I revisited - this size of the rooms are excellent, beautiful balcony and I felt amidst nature with all the trees and abundant greenery. The facilities are excellent and a generous choice of food for breakfast.
