the stairs leading up to the property were very difficult. It absolutely needs a hand rail.

Please CHANGE the bed/mattress in room 211!!! When you lay down, the centre caves in, like you're laying down in a bowl with mats as your pillows (one per person). Other than the bed issue, my stay at the property was good.

It was good for a short stay, but for anything longer, maybe not as comfortable for us.

Convenient location from the airport. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We arrived late and went down to the bakery/store to buy water. We asked about restaurants and they suggested we not walk but could drive or take a taxi. Then as they were closing, the lady offered us some of the hot food that I guess would’ve been thrown away. So we had that with some beer from the store for our supper and it was great! We enjoyed our breakfast the next day as well.

Excellent breakfast provided at the bakery located conveniently under the hotel. Room was spotlessly clean and staff were friendly and obliging. TV worked well and the wifi was fast.

I really enjoyed my stay. I think for the places on St. Maarten, this one was on the cheaper side which I really like and for that, it was great. The room was spacious, had a microwave, coffee maker, AC, TV, fridge, and sink, and the bathroom as well as everything was clean. There was daily housekeeping. The location was fine and the staff friendly and helpful. For breakfast, you get a coupon for the bakery downstairs and you get one small item and one small drink which was fine for me. It was a good breakfast.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Carl’s unique inn. Very comfortable accommodation with a nice courtyard to sit outside. I loved the breakfast sandwiches offered in the mornings which became a daily ritual. All the staff are so friendly and helpful, and it’s well located with a short distance from the center. Would highly recommend.

I heard the guy in the room next door snoring almost every night. The breakfast choices being limited to sandwiches or pastries I didn’t like. Being a pescatarian, my only option was cheese sandwiches which were too much for 10 days stay, so I had just tea most days. Going to the bakery for breakfast and being in the same line with the regular customers didn’t sit well with me.

The room was cleaned every day and the bed was very comfortable.

Very comfortable spacious room. I loved the included breakfast. Unusual fare of choices of sandwich, coffee and pastry. They have their own bakery. I also liked the local community atmosphere.

There is often no staff at the reception.

It is within walking distance (about a mile) of good restaurants and stores. The immediate surroundings are industrial, but safe. Breakfast is OK, through a voucher at a public restaurant downstairs.
