Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesMy hosts, David and Julie were AMAZING! David was also the architect of the hotel and he told me all about it, made me a cup of coffee when I got to the hotel and was just so kind and friendly. Truly one of a kind. Both David and Julie made a great breakfast the next morning and were so happy and friendly to me. I can't stop thinking about how warm and hospitable they were - I felt like I was a guest in their own home. The hotel itself is charming and very quiet. Apparently it is fairly new, but it has the feeling of being old and charming -in a very good way. If you go to Juayua you HAVE to stay here!

United StatesKudos to the staff who were very warm and friendly and accommodating and who did everything that they could do to make my stay memorable! Breakfast was delicious and they arranged the 7 Waterfalls tour for me. The property is beautiful - artfully decorated with lush gardens - and is located in a quiet and peaceful area on the outskirts of the city. I would gladly stay here again!

United StatesThe property is beautiful, wonderful view from the garden. The hotel is more like a bed and breakfast, beautifully decorated and the staff was very attentive and made our stay extremely comfortable. The rooms and bathroom were clean. I recommend waking up to look a the sunrise between the four volcanoes visible from the garden! Roberto greeted us the evening we arrived and set up a bonfire for us; my kids loved making smores! I can't wait to go back and stay for more than one night.

United KingdomThe perfect base to visit the local towns along la Ruta de las Flores. We loved the beautiful garden and vibe of the hotel. Hanging out in the hammocks was so peaceful with the sound of the fountain and the views of the garden and volcanos beyond. The staff were extremely welcoming and helped us to book a local coffee tour. I would recommend to anyone visiting el Salvador to at least stay here for a couple of nights.

United StatesThough it was cool weather, the hotel does not have air conditioner. It was not needed in April when it was cool, but could see this being an issue in hotter months. The hotel is beautiful amidst the open garden.
Completely surrounded by nature, it feels like you're in a rainforest. The location is atop a hill and walkable to the town center.

CanadaThe owner and staff were the kindest warmest people. Each time we were greeted with a smile and attentiveness, which truly makes you feel like you are guests at their own home. The grounds and building have a beautiful rustic charm, constructed and decorated with beautifully collected vintage finds. Breakfast each day we chose the yytypical local style prepared and served by Jimena who is a lovely person. Evenings we were greeted and attended to by David who is also extremely warm and friendly. It was a treat to stay at Don Oscar’s farm house. We would love to stay with them again in the future.

AustraliaZERO complaints
We left (reluctantly) feeling so relaxed and rejuvenated. It is such a peaceful setting. The staff were so accommodating and willing to go the extra mile. The breakfast was delicious, and the coffee (grown on the estate) was incredible. Rooms were beautiful..beds comfortable as could be. Showers were hot and water pressure perfect. The place is an absolute charm. Worth every penny. Can wholeheartedly recommend :)

CanadaWould have been nice if the staff could speak some English, especially when problems arise as did when we tried to pay with a credit card. Garbages in the room should be emptied daily.
Breakfast was great, the location was perfect for us, up in the hills with an amazing view and gardens

SpainThis hotel is more like a first class B&B. It’s your home away from home, if you’re looking for a quiet getaway in a beautiful natural space, This is the perfect place, it’s small and cozy with beautiful gardens and Mountain View’s, the rooms are a perfect size with 2 queen size comfortable beds and good pillows for a good night sleep, it’s in a hacienda style with open corridors to enjoy the garden and fountain, very relaxing. It comes with a healthy organic breakfast to your liking. The owner, Oscar is so nice and kind, he makes you feel like family, David and Jimena go out of their way to accommodate your needs. I highly recommend and will be back soon.

GermanyJust minor details not mentioning.
The hotel is brand new but it has been thoughtfully curated with antique elements by Don Oscar who invites you to drink a morning brew from his own finca in case you want to join him marveling at the spectacular sunrise views on the volcanos. So in short Los Olivos captures the magic of the region in a welcoming place.

United StatesI didn’t get the room I paid for. They had given it away to another group. It would have been fine if I got a price adjustment but when I was going to pay, she said I’d have to cancel it on by end. That is not possible when you have a non refundable stay. She wouldn’t cancel it because she said there was a commission fee. The property and hospitality was otherwise lovely, but I paid almost 40 dollars too much and that was unfair.
Clean and comfortable, quiet at night except for the occasional bus behind my room in early morning. Food was good, garden was lovely.
