The staff was warm and welcoming. The breakdown was good and the kitchen service was excellent.

Walking up the stairs was good exercise. The bed was very uncomfortable . The area is quiet after hours and lots of homeless people hang out close by .

Smaller hotel in a nice wooden building in the historical center of Paramaribo. Comfortable, cosy, quiet and clean room (204). Superfriendly staff. Good breakfast (try the Suriname omelette and the chicken pie, if available). Good a/c and Wifi. Good value for money.

No hot water in the shower. Reading light could be better. You have to walk a bit before you find restaurants. There is only a Burger King nearby.

On this trip of 3 countries and 6 accommodations, Hotel Palacio was by far the best! Great ambience, central location, well maintained, such friendly and helpful staff, clean, great WiFi, aesthetically pleasing common areas and room, comfortable bed, delightful shower! I had to double-check my reservation, because I couldn't believe such great value for so little money. I was bummed I had only one night there. Any time I come back to Paramaribo, this is where I'm going to stay.

All of the staff were incredibly friendly and worked hard to ensure the guests had a pleasant stay. The property is in a great location surrounded by historic buildings. The Waterkant and Fort Zeelandia are less than a 10-minute walk from the hotel. The rooms were clean and in good condition. The breakfast was great and had a variety of options. Thank you to Ania for allowing me to store my luggage at the hotel after checking out. Overall, it’s a great hotel if you’re looking for an affordable option in the center of Paramaribo

Good location for exploring the capital.

I checked in and checked out within 2 hours. Very disappointing in spite of all the great reviews. WARNING ⚠️ not suitable for persons with disabilities or anyone who cannot lift luggage up the stairs. No mention was made that visitors must be prepared to carry luggage up & down several flights of steps. There was no staff to assist with luggage. The lobby smelt of food. The guestroom smelt musty.
