The rooms in the front can be quite noisy from the street.

The walls are very thin, neighbours might wake you up at night. The shower had no warm water but it was not necessary due to the high temperatures.

Great located close to the fort, waterkaant and touristic area. The staff is very friendly and helpful! They also sell water for a fair price at reception so you don't need to go to the supermarket on your own. Internet worked just fine. There was a ventilator in the room.

It is a wooden house and if someone walks on the above room, you can hear it. Often at night, a car or bike would make noise.

It is a wooden colonial house. Right at the centre of the city. Everybody speaks English very well and the staff is very helpful. there is a small swimming pool too, next to it there are a few tables and chairs. Here you can meet other fellow travelers.

My room was next to outside tables and people smoked and drank there so naturally I heard their conversations. Not a big problem. Don’t think there was hot water.

Great location close to town. Lots of places to walk to. In a delightful colonial building. Good AC ,WiFi Quiet at night. Above ground pool was nice for a cool down. Stayed 7 days with trip upriver in between.

Cold showers

Historic house, clean, central location, owners were responsive in arranging airport shuttles (US$50) for my 2am arrival, and onward shuttle to Georgetown (US$50 + US$20 ferry).

The traffic at night at the front of hotel was very very loud. You need to be a heavy sleeper or love the sound of traffic.

Location was great and loved the Verandar to sit and relax on. At was very old Suriname which we loved and you could easily walk to everywhere.

The furnishings in the room were quite old and worn. Noise from the staff on their phone and playing music, and noise other guests from the garden during the night. Other people want to sleep.

The staff were great, very welcoming and accommodating. I was upgraded to an A/C room for free. The garden and little swimming pool were fabulous to relax in. A fridge you can buy cold drinks from. Location is brilliant, right among the wooden houses!

The staff here are amazing!! They really go out of their way to help you. It’s also a great spot to meet some of the most amazing people from all over the world and this is simply because the staff are so nice that they attract the right people. The building is part of the cultural heritage and despite being much more than a hundred years old it is in excellent condition. For those who are not looking for the impersonal hotel room and excessive luxury with accompanying high prices, albergoAlberga is an excellent choice. I felt at home here and found the staff to be very helpful.
