Rooms are spacious and clean, and the staff is generally nice and friendly. The pool and the pool bar are perfect.

Be aware that food is very expensive on site - breakfast buffet is €26 per person, and mains are on average around €30+ in both restaurants.

The hotel was and the environment was beautiful. The staff were exceptional especially Mamadou at the reception that assisted me with my booking issues. Penda at guest relations desk was equally wonderful. Will definitely come back.

I loved my room, but as a woman doing make-up in such a dark room is not great, would like more light in the bathroom. The carpets were very dirty in the walkways.

On arrival it was not clear where our taxi was to drop us off and nobody helped us with luggage. Staff seemed to just hang around the reception area. It took nearly 30 minutes to get bags brought to our room and even on check out staff were just hanging out at reception and did not help with luggage

Staff is distracted and no necessarily pleasant. Airport pick up was late by more than an hour (they blamed the traffic, which is the same every day). Incredibly expensive for the services provided.

Gym has very limited hours. I was supposed to have a balcony and requested a quiet room. My room was ground floor facing the pool with chairs and tables right outside so I could not open the curtains or everyone would look in. They also had a musician band right in front of my room so sleep was impossible. Although the hotel was nice my requests were ignored .

There’s a lot going on here! Big weddings and parties can make for late (and loud!) nights on Friday and Saturday.

This is a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of Dakar! The pool and bar scene is very lively and the breakfast buffet fabulous—both boasting stunning ocean views.

We had some money stolen from our hotel room during the cleaning. The management said they would investigate, but never followed up.

My room was a beachfront room where a live band performs nightly. This meant I had to deal with noisy music till about 11pm every night which was less than ideal.

The views of the water, the friendly staff, the food options at the restaurant and bar and the location of the hotel. All factors made the experience enjoyable.

If only to complain a bit, I wish there was some guide book of places to eat and see nearby. And the TV-info guide lacks info on hours for the restaurants etc. Nothing you can't solve by just calling the 9, but sometimes you just want to read instead of talking :) And yes, I wish this was a bit cheaper, but seems like in Africa if it is good, it is usually not cheap :)

Our acquaintance with the hotel had a bumpy start: when we first got to our room, it was flooded. It took the staff 3 min to give us another room. From that point everything: the room, the facilities, the location - all above our expectations. The spa and the shopping center next to the hotel - are a great plus! When we left, there was a distinct feeling of wanting to come back. Lord willing, we will.

Some aspects do not really match with a 5-star hotel, those are details however they could be improved: the room's decoration is not very modern, only one bathrobe in a double room, asked for a terrace but it is actually a common space for multipl guests/staff members (people right in front of the room), the phone in the room not working, breakfast is not really refined
